My $20.00 Auction Find -- What Should I Do With Them?

I went to an auction last night and got an old Italian provincial coffee table and matching end tables, for $20.00. They are probably from the 70s or 80s, real wood, and are in excellent condition. The coffee table has 3 marble inserts on the top, and the tops of the end tables are solid marble, with a wooden border. Wish I had pictures...but I know you've seen the type tables I'm talking about. They're that dated pecan wood, which was so popular "in the days." Rachel Ashwell would probably paint these tables white. However, I'm thinking they might look better in an ebony finish, since the marble is off-white in color. What do you guys think? I plan to refinish them and sell them...if anyone wants them! But the more I think about it, I can see them working in my home, in a room which has red walls and a camel-colored couch. Do you think these tables can be given a new life with paint? Your thoughts please.
