About me: My husband, son and I live on the beautiful Alabama River. Actually, it’s our backyard. The "boys" are avid fishermen and I’m the one who decorates! Being the only female in a male household, I don’t get many opportunities to discuss decorating problems. That’s why I enjoy the forum so much. It’s like having a conversation with an old friend. We have a "little one" at our house. His name is Chico and he is a Chihuahua and the love of my life. Other than decorating, I enjoy gardening and being close to nature. I had something very interesting to happen in my life recently. I was "reunited" with a brother I haven’t seen in many, many years. We made the "front page" of our local newspaper (the Christmas story) and had a TV crew at my home to do "our story." For days after that, I was recognized every where I went -- the grocery store, mall, etc. My brother said, "Wow, you’re a star, girl!" That’s the reason for my name -- "Stargirl."
