So, just to review what was already said: x denotes a cross. When used in front of a genus name it indicates that the genus is a hybrid (or intergeneric) genus derived by crossing plants of two different genuses (actually "genera" is the plural of genus, but most people don't know this). When two genera are crossed, a new genus is created, using parts of the names of both parent genera. In gesneriads we have, for example, "x codonatanthus" for hybrids of codonanthe and nematanthus, or "x achimenantha" for hybrids of achimenes and smithiantha. In orchids intergeneric hybrids are often fertile and have been bred with more than two genera such that hybrid genus names have gotten ridiculous. Rather than combine three, four, five or more genera into one looong name they have a system where such new multi-generic hybrid genus names end in the letters "ara". The first one of these was Potinara (Cattleya x Laelia x Sophronitis x brassivola). Now there are hundreds of such combinations. By the way, clone names (i.e. "cultivars") are always shown with single quotes and are capitalized--i.e. Cantua 'Hot Pants'. Also, in writing cross names one should put the female parent first (though this is not necessary). So Sinningia leucotricha x canescens would indicate that leucotricha was the seed parent and canescens was the pollen parent. About capitalizing the "X" in front of genus names--I never knew that. I will have to check with my botanist friend who knows even more silly rules about plant names than I do (by far).

Yes it is Mountain, but KSWL mentioned her family history is why I brought it up. HCBM makes an excellent point! My 90 year old father, during this pandemic, has gone through so many changes, etc. it just breaks my heart. He declined greatly at the assisted living. He spent a few days in the hospital and is now doing so much better in rehab. In fact, the social worker there feels that he will be able to go back to an AL setting! At this rehab center, there is a pyschologist who for years ran a geriatric program at one of the hospitals in the big city. Sadly, that hospital closed a few years ago. Amazing to find that this dr. sees patients at my dad's rehab facility! Dad was having some episodes of much confusion and it really worried and scared us. Almost like he was hallucinating. He was given a psychiatric evaluation both in the hospital and again when he entered rehab. No dementia. This doctor has been working with dad and he did mention slight cognitive function decline - again, he is 90 years old, so that makes sense. Dad's mind (until this move) has been so sharp - he has a memory like an elephant. He also had extensive blood work done a few weeks ago and it was discovered his ammonia level was high, which can cause confusion. After treating that, he is doing much better. It is just heartbreaking to see what this pandemic is doing to so many older people. Those who are in facilities and are being isolated, it's just awful. That really does affect a person's mental outlook. Visits to these facilities were approved in the second phase of the state reopening here, but most facilities are not yet allowing them due to the rise of cases. I completely understand that, but I cannot wait to be able to actually be in the room with my dad!! We have been able to do window visits, video chats and Monday they had a parade at the facility (drive by cars) and for the first time, dad got to come outside. He is also allowed into the "day room" at times, with limited other patients and he has been enjoying sitting in the hallway "people watching" hehe. He is so cute and funny! I just pray we can find a facility that is a good fit for him. My grandmother was in "memory care" at the same facility where dad was in assisted living. The small family atmosphere (20 or less in each villa) was great for her, but it just wasn't for dad, nor was having one caregiver per villa. So now the search begins for a facility more suitable for him. Of course, downside is we still cannot visit these facilities. Didn't mean to write a book, obviously this is a subject close to my heart.

It's not possible to put a gauge on the term "over tighten". Plumbers, pipe fitters, and steam fitters learn through experience how much torque to apply to a fitting. When I was a younger man, I used to ask questions like this. The most cogent answer I got was from an old steam fitter: "Tighten it 'til it feels right."

Mine dribbles a bit from the spout while the shower is in use, even with the new diverter insert, due to the mineral residue inside the spout preventing the diaphgram from sealing 100%. The shower is fully usable. I have a hand-held-able showerhead that I leave hanging down off the bracket when not in use. All the residual water in the shower feed pipe fully drains out from both the spout and showerhead when the faucet is turned off. My family home built in 1964 had a three-handle tub faucet. The middle knob shut off flow to the spout, diverting it up to the shower. There was no dribbling during shower use unless/until such time as the faucet seat for the diverter valve wore out and needed replacement.
