Well after the picture situation with my skids BM (where she told us to order pics for her and she would pay us-but then she did not pay us back for them) she finally sent us a check. I went and deposited the check and guess what...it bounced!!! We tried to call her, but no answer. So we e-mailed her and her parents about the bounced check and bank fees now. My question....why write a check when there is no money in the bank??? I called her bank today to verify funds and see if the check is good yet and they said nope! Just another example of what a piece of garbage she is..................

That is beyond low...I hope the bank isnt making you pay for anything (I've never bounced a check so I dont know how it works.They charge HER a fee for bouncing right?)
I would be seriously annoyed if this was happening to me.

does your county have a bounced check program? They will collect any fees the bank charged you and make her take a class to avoid prosecution for writing a bad check. Of course, this could open a whole new can of worms. But it's pretty lowdown.

lol, my SD's mom offered to write me a check for her half of SD's birthday party, if we put it on a credit card. I said, sorry so she used her check card. Don't know if she had the funds but unless you are dealing with someone that has proven themselves to be honest with you, why take a chance with your money or credit?

Everything looks great! Lots of growth on everything especially the bananas. Do you plan on keeping the musa basjoos in the ground or digging them up this winter. And did your washingtonia die? Thanks for the encouragement. I'm not putting a fence up by the street, but I planted some blueberry bushes there to create a natural barrier. There are no front yard fences in our neighborhood and I think I'm already pushing the limits of their tolerance with my front yard potager. Right now I just have a tiny removable fence to keep the dogs and the kids from the nearby school out of it, but once the bushes are large enough I will remove it, ... maybe ;) thank you for the comments, this forum has been quite an inspiration, so full of great ideas. Thanks guys. I came home today and had a lot of leaf drop on one of my ghost. I'm not sure what happened. It's been about 3 days since I watered and fertilized, not sure if it got a little too much fertilizer or what. I have it on the back deck. I'm going to keep an eye on it for a couple of days. I hope it's nothing serious, it already has a small pod on it. Tim

Thank you for that informative reply Cearbhaill A selection of these plants will go in the ground and a good few will go in containers.I will also give a few of these away to friends.. Using some for Rootstock will also be a consideration. I have found my 1st year in growing from Seed so enjoyable and am already Chomping at the bit ready to have another go come October. I think I will be far more prepared than in 2015 when the right time is to gather the seeds. I will post another Mix of Pictures in early September.Hopefully you can Chime in around that time and offer your opinion of their Progress Happy Gardening Stephen,Cheshire.UK

Our bank charged us a $10 fee!!! Her bank told me if I put it through again and it bounced it would go to collections, which is where as soon as her account had money it would go to us. But this whole thing is just silly! She has had since mid October to pay us this money....

Funny how we support the kids, she pays no child support, and she still bounced a check to us! She is useless! I wish that she would just stay out of our lives altogether...she creates more problems than she is worth!
(I know some will argue this---but oh we11 :P )
