What's the title of the book?

Somebody mentioned the title of a book in a couple of different threads. It has to do with detaching with love or something along those lines. Does anyone remember what I am talking about and what the title is? I could really use the read before I drive myself nuts obsessing. tx

Hmm, I'm not sure about a detaching book...
The book I yip about all the time is Motherless Daughters, but it's about the effects of motherloss.
I really can't think of another book that has come up more than once. Sorry.

Thanks, but that's not the book, although I did read it years ago and it was very useful. The book I am thinking about has to do with letting go of anger. I am almost beginning to feel like Thurman because I am getting irritated w/oldest SD and I don't want to feel like that toward her. If I should be irritated w/anyone, it should be DH for not addressing some things and I am, but he doesn't want confrontation and truly she is old enough to not need to be told how to behave.

This is so very gross, a health hazard and it's my biggest complaint. SD (24) hasn't cleaned out her ferrets' cage in at least four weeks . The stench of ammonia from the urine is unbelievable (not to mention there's also the feces). I have been trying to get over an upper respiratory bacterial infection and cough for several weeks. For some reason, whenever I am home and exposed to the stench, I seem to start coughing a lot more - hmmmm. I went to the doctor Thursday and we discussed the ammonia exposure. I came home asked DH to ask her to PLEASE clean the cage. He said he'd speak w/her Monday because he happened to speak w/her earlier that day about her reaction to our wedding and she was upset and cried. Of course, it also inhumane and she literally sleeps in the cesspool, so she may be the next one with a cough. We have a towel blocking the crack of her door, but the odor is so strong that it still creeps into the rest of the house.

There is also the issue of her putting spoonfuls of peanutbutter into her dog's toy as a treat and letting him have his treat on our 3 month old carpet. I don't how many times she has been asked not to do that by DH, but she just does as she pleases because there is never any follow through on his part. She obviously has no respect for us and our property. Again, more his fault, but at 24 I think she shouldn't need to be told more than once.

Only one heaven, so if you use it, the word should be Heaven's. Singular possessive. Be sure the title is not already taken. And the Band Played On is another book. If they are all singers, that title might work, but I assume you are also going to focus on some who may have been instrumentalists and not singers.

Interesting subject Yvonne, as I have been planning to buy a copy of Jane Eyre for a friend who, somehow had never read it. She claims her class never 'did' it at school, which seems a feeble excuse for never reading it. ;-) Anyway I was looking at the Book Depository site (free delivery to Canada being too good an offer to turn down) and came up with over seven hundred choices . . . If you had never heard of Jane Eyre and looked at even 20 of them, I wonder how many of those covers would give you a clue to what lay inside? May be the ones showing a single female, or the 'artist's impression' of a busty female and a hunky guy. But what about rugged mountains, coastal scenes and ones so 'obscure' they have no 'meaning' at all? Answers on a post card please. Thank you for the reply. I'm not sure if it is or not. I'm not even sure if the man who wrote the book was an ornithologist. If Wikipedia listed all of his literary works, none of them sounded familiar. Even though I can't think of the title of the book, I think I'd recognize the name if I'd see/hear it. It partly sounds like it could be him though. I'll have to look into it some more. Thanks again.

Sons of the Wolf by Barbara Michaels. I really liked her books back in the olden days. She was actually Barbara Mertz and also wrote as Elizabeth Peters. I liked all those gothic-type books. Mary Stewart was my favorite, although she mostly wrote current-day stories. I blame her for my love of travel. Her characters were always having adventures in different countries. BTW, I'm just back from our Switzerland-Austria Odyssey Tour. It was great--possibly the most tiring trip I've made what with climbing to the tops of stuff. No Heidi sightings, but I did get a souvenir Christmas ornament of her.

I remember seeing a title mentioned --"The Dance of Anger"-- probably in this context. I haven't read it, but I think this may be the book you're thinking of.
