poor Dexter, not too popular~ We do have to FF thru a lot of it.. Brotherhood, another good one, also violent but has a great story and fab characters.. We try to guess who's about to get it next.. (uh, oh.. you said the wrong thing then;-)

If you are interested in fashion, history, romance, and England in the 1920's, try House Of Eliot. My 13 year old daughter and I literally would watch 5 hours at a time. There are, as I recall, 36 episodes, each an hour long. It was written by Jean Marsh. It blends the early "modern" era, when air planes and automobiles and industrial standardization and workers rights were on the cutting edge, with women's fashion and the challenges of two upper crust young ladies left penniless by their philandering father, as they struggle to build a premiere London fashion house. My daughter and I were totally transfixed, and for her it was so educational too. We had lovely conversations about what was going on in that time frame and how fashion relates to social developments. If you loved Gosford Park and all that British stuff, you'll enjoy the breaktaking gowns and story lines about English aristocrats in their manor houses and motor cars.

I lived directly behind Southfork Ranch when I lived in that area so am very famiuliar with it and had to take people on the tours that would come to visit us all the time. It is actually not that big and the pool is tiny, when they would film they used a mirror to make the pool look bigger. They would also start and stop down the drive to make it look much longer. I have met several of the originals. I never was much of a Dallas tv show fanatic though. I hope it brings more revenue to Parker, the itty bitty town that Southfork is actually in, it is NOT in Dallas at all. We loved the big fireworks display that was held there after a concert every year for 4th of July, we would sit in our drive way and have a great show and we could hear all of the concerts too. We would all get free tickets to what ever was being held since we lived right next door, they did not want us to be inconvenienced so we got to go, except for like private ceremonies like weddings and such. Every year we would get an envelope in the mail with a pile of tickets to events.I did a lot of volunteer work with them and the city too plus our volunteer fire dept. It was fun.

Christopher Daniel Duntsch (born April 3, 1971) is a former American neurosurgeon who has been nicknamed Dr. D. and Dr. Death for gross malpractice resulting in the maiming of several patients' spines and killing two of them while working at hospitals in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Duntsch was accused of injuring 33 out of 38 patients in less than two years before his license was revoked by the Texas Medical Board. In 2017, he was convicted of maiming one of his patients and sentenced to life imprisonment.
