New Request from Cindy: Zebra Grass I am looking for ANY grasses I plan on putting in a grass bed at the top of our driveway so we don't have to mow up there anymore :) I put in some rocks with the house number all ready and our neighbor gave us and ornamental solar light decoration to go up there!!! Tammy you asked me how the spiderwort looked lining the drive, there wasn't as much left over after the swap as I thought there would be. I DO have some I got from my mom and a friend though, not sure if it will cover the lenght of the drive or not. And I haven't really decided if I want that or that red mini grass I forgot what it is called at the moment... OK posting thread #3 now too. :) Fran

Thank you Candy :). Karen: TY. Mickey is doing very well considering. It's been 3 weeks today and he's getting a bit grumpy but still holding steady. I didn't give him one of the Kong toys as I know he'd make the biggest mess you can imagine. lol Instead I bought him one of those roll around toys you put treats in and they have to work to get them out. He really likes it and doesn't really overwork himself to get them out like I figured he would. He plays with it for a bit, then gets tired and goes to sleep. He's gotton down a good routine now (out of crate, get leash on , get big drinks, go outside to business, come back in , shop toy box - pick toy of choice, and back to crate, yell for cookie - take nap). He does better if we're not in the room with him so I've resorted to living in other parts of the house. It tears me up that he's in the living room alone, but I tried that and he got sooo worked up wanting out that no more of that. :( He goes back on the 14th for the last shots and we do this all over again for at least 4 more weeks and then hopefully!! he's healthy and free from jail on Nov 12th. Thank you for asking about him :).

Ah yes, hiring work out. I too in my younger days used to tackle so much I won't do anymore. In fact I'm getting ready to call someone soon to come pressure clean my roof. Can't believe I did that nasty, sweltering and even dangerous job myself. Well worth paying someone to take care of it. As others have said, I'm at the stage in which I often put money out instead of my time and hard work. That said, I lucked out in a HUGE way with crown molding. Dreamed about having it for literally 20 years. My FIL was a builder, and also a furniture maker by hobby and he wouldn't touch it, said it was just too much work. My husband can also do pretty much anything and same story. And then my son came along. I think because he didn't particularly care if it was perfect he wasn't intimidated. And darned if that guy couldn't whip up crown like a pro! He literally crowned my entire house. At one point he and his dad used to joke that they had to keep our cat moving or I'd force my son to cut some crown to put on her :). I did pay him, but less than what a pro carpenter would have charged. It was a win for both us. My son would not deal with finishing, but I had no objection to tackling the laborious caulking, sanding, priming and painting once the molding was up. And I will add that of all the projects one can do, in my book crown molding is one of the nicest touches in a house. It gives that extra quality impression and I literally still, after 3 years, sit (or lie in my bed) and admire it almost every day. So hire it out and get 'er done and quit feeling guilty. All those years of do it yourself saved you tons. Spend it out and enjoy a nice house, you deserve it.

There are absolutely no pluses about building with stellar. 2 years later after moving into our house we regret ever falling for the sales spiel. We already spent over $500 000 on that house that was built to poor standard that the real estate agent we asked to value our house said that we would be better off pulling it down and starting again rather than selling and moving. We should have raised voice when we observed that they didnâÂÂt use gravel to elevate the foundation before they dug the trenches. Again we had to spent a lot of money on replacing the vinyl windows because they start to rotten after a season. We were really disappointed by realizing how low quality products were used by them. We had to spend another $1000 dollars for the widow replacement since we hired window choice (Mississauga) for all the works. Polaris might be a good option for you so consider them. While selecting a window replacement Company, be so sure about their reputation so that you will not have to regret afterwards.
