It doesn't end

My poor DH. All this since January. His son became truant in HS, but the school still allowed him to graduate. Resisted getting a job for the summer and only worked about 4 weeks after many, many battles. He went to college for about 1 week and dropped out. Bought a motorcycle (didn't tell us) and hid it in public storage. Couldn't/didn't pay for the storage - I was hoping they'ld confiscate it. They didn't - his mom let him keep the motorbike at her house (dumb move). Got a job at Dunkin Donuts this week (maybe). He is failing at everything he does. Parents not sure what to do, but seem reluctant to allow him to have natural consequenses for his choices.

This kid has been a pain in the a.. since I've known him - seriously lazy. I have told my DH that now I want his son to move out (I don't care where) and learn how pay his own way. We've been battling for months (years) over him. DH afraid to let go. Up till last week, he was still giving his kid money for haircuts!

I have 2 grown BD, and I can remember being distraught over some of the stuff they did. But when they made adult choices, I didn't protect them from their mistakes. One had to move out and go it alone. I don't support adult children. (I do, however, love them).

I want some peace in my house. I feel bad for my DH, but I told him that I need space from his son. All this causing problems for our marriage right now.
