Shock of price quote - is this reasonable?

I'm trying to get over sticker shock - salesman just left. I received a quote for Marvin Infinity windows in my CT home. I do have walnut stained wood trim throughout my colonial home and grills are pretty much standard in all the homes around me. Price includes in-glass grills, outside color to match existing trim on all but 3 windows, their fake wood that can be stained to match my trim, 272 glass. I was told I need special glass for the 2 windows in the bathroom. These are all double hung except the one square window above my sink which is a slider.

Quote was $34,650 for

windows:
4 of 31.5" x 62"
9 of 31.5" x 50"
2 of 27.5" x 46" (special glass)
1 of 27.5" x 46"
1 of 37.5" x 37.5"

2 sliders:
68.5" x 78.5"

2 picture windows that have solid glass in the middle with double hungs on each end:
solid glass 25" x 54"
double hung 51.5" x 54"

I'm in sticker shock, this is about double what I expected. Are windows truly this costly? I can save $4838.00 if I opt for white interiors but then I have all walnut stain throughout the house with white windows - I'm thinking I'd be shooting myself in the resale value area.
