I'm a Pisces March 12

and I also put a lot of curiosity into dreams and how do they really affect the day ahead...

sometimes they are a guide

no, I don't do astrology much anymore but must say I used to.

The Vibrant contextual advertising doesn't bother me as much as the advertisements at the top of a thread which increase in size and push all the other thread text down, and then shrink in size and all the text moves back up. Does anyone know how to get rid of those? Like Scott, I opted out of the Vibrant ads, but they still appear. I'm using Google Chrome as I find it faster than IE and Firefox. But, it doesn't look like there is a way to block *.intellitxt.com and *.vibrantmedia.com. -Glenn

I have the 8 cup version of this one at the link. Best feature: it drips into a thermal carafe. Keeps it hot for at least an hour or two, but I usually have consumed it before it gets cold. Thermal carafes don't overheat the coffee like coffee makers with a heating element under the pot. Plus, it turns off when it's done brewing so you never have to worry that you didn't turn off the coffeepot. I'll never go back to a coffee pot with a heater under the pot; the thermal carafe is THE way to go. Seriously. Plus you can take the pot anywhere you want in the house--back porch, bedroom, wherever--and the carafe will keep it hot for a good while. This pot has worked fine for five years or so, and when I have to replace it, it will be another pot with a thermal carafe. Maybe the Technivorm Moccamaster. OK guys. It's decision time. I really need to order the stuff tomorrow. As I posted above, we are just ripping out all of the existing tile. So I can put tile over it. For cost reasons (and style reasons too I guess) we are going with Armstrong VCT. It's commercial vinyl tile. I want to avoid looking like a church basement or school floor. Our ceiling is black with can lights. Basement used for working out, laundry and TV watching and will be an entertaining space (I hope). What about mostly white tiles (classic white, with some balck variegation in it( and charcoal gray tiles thrown in here and there? Tell me what you think of that, please--if you don't mind! I am just trying really hard to get tis figured out.

Already mentioned I'm a Pisces, too, and although I don't "do" astrology, I fully believe in the "power" of a full moon. Makes people crazy. Oh, and by the way, I dream more during days before & after full moon than any other time.
My "organic" office-mate used the word "superstition," but unlike other superstitions that are based on...well, NOTHING...the full moon has a physical effect on the earth and its inhabitants, so I don't call it "superstition" at all.

I'm Aquarius, born Feb. 18, and the dream I mentioned occurred when the moon was full. The full moon usually affects me by keeping me awake.

lots of stuff! i got married this summer - travelled back and forth way up north a few times - went camping a bunch of times - and, then of course, i've been working lots, too. not much time for mosaics but things are starting to settle now and i've gotten a couple of small things done. i'll post pictures when i get the chance.

tonight, however, i'm going to cruise through these threads to see all of the beautiful things you all have made! :)

Hey Maria, glad to hear it; only knew one person before born on May 3. And you are almost one of us. Your May's must be like ours, we have 5 birthdays (and throw in Mother's Day and Father's Day in there) between 5/3 and 6/9. Love birthdays in the spring....

Nice to see so many other Capricorns! The descriptions of the sign always make it seem as though social status and material possessions are all we're interested in.

I'm another Cap, born in the Chinese year of the Tiger. Years ago, I came across a book at the library that combined the twelve signs of the Western zodiac, and the 12 animals of the Chinese, and had detailed descriptions of all the resulting 144 "signs". I've never been much of a fan of astology, because it seemed so vague and inapplicable -- but the entry on Capricorn/Tiger fit me to a T!
