It's been about as foggy as San Francisco, but very little rain here in NC. A few more drops are expected tonight. When I drove over the lake, it was still down so much there are new islands. We still have about 60 gallons of rainwater stored in a barrel, but the frost finally got all of my potted annuals, so I will just use it for my potted evergreens. It was so warm on Thanksgiving. The crowd enjoyed wandering through the garden and sitting on the screened porch. Cameron

I hear ya'! I put in 11 hosta this weekend and am thrilled that the rain would be there this week to keep their roots nice and moist this week!

More great photos. I used to have Zephyranthes but left them at my last place, they were hard to keep under control but are very pretty after the rain. Aggies always put on a great display, mine are just finishing so time for their heads to come off. Gerberas always put on a good display but mine don't seem to be doing as well at the moment, probably too much humidity. I bet the birds love the grevilleas and the rose is pretty too.

So happy for the gardeners who are getting rain. I heard on the news the other day that we are not getting either El Nino or La Nina this year as previously thought. After checking the temperature in the Pacific Ocean, the weather forecasters (I want to call them the weathermongers, with some affection) have declared it will be La Nada, meaning nothing, no ocean effect. I am really not making this up.
