Fiance's ex & bitter feelings

I just registered today after a couple huge fights with my fiancee and I regarding his ex.

I have been dating fiancee for 4 years, lived with him for 2. He has two kids, I have two kids. His ex - though initially in the picture - has dove off into lala land and doesn't come over, doesn't come get the kids, doesn't call, etc. (Fiancee has full custody of kids). I worked for my dad which allotted me time to be home with all four kids - running them anywhere they needed, doing things for them, buying things for them(ALL FOUR KIDS) while his ex (unemployed, by the way - due to being fired for not passing a pop drug quiz) sits around doing god knows what but definitely not helping us out. Meanwhile, if something comes up where I cannot accomodate his children - his daughter will scream and yell and berate me (she's 10) and all I'm thinking is "WHERE THE HECK IS YOUR MOTHER?!?!?"

I have so much pent up hostility. My financee is passive/agressive and kind of shrugs the ex off and does not seem to see all thethings I do around here for not only my own but for his. Almost like he thinks it's my job(I'm not their mother! and he never gets on the phone with her and says "Hey, where are you?") But if Icomplain that I am stressed - I am a complainer.

After the two years, this summer I finally realized theanswer is to go back to work FULL TIME and let him be in charge of everyone and everything. I am hoping this will subdue my bitter feelings.

Does anyone have anything similar or anything they could offer me as to how do I get rid of the resentment towards her? She comes by here and there (say for their birthdays) and it's like her kids are all adoring to her and here I'm doing everything for them. Just very disheartning and on top of everything him not understanding my point of view is really hurting me and causing me a lot ofstress.

We are supposed to get married next June. I am wondering if that is a good idea....
