Now that's cute! You just expanded your garden view. Twice the flowers and yet no more watering!
Was that a solid piece of mirror that you mosaiced over, or is it 4 seperate pieces? What did you attach it to?
I'm thinking I might need to put that on my to do list!

If your weather is such that the growth or bloom is poor, another variety may do better. If you're tipping canes at five feet, the growth seems ok. The number of pollinated flowers is the key, if you can get that far, weather should be good enough by then to make fruit. Weather can mess up ripe or ripening fruit, though. If you didn't tip or prune them at all, you should still get lots of berries. All this blackberry pruning stuff is just to shape the canes and laterals to your specific layout. I tip mine at 6 feet and the laterals vary from 4 to 20 feet, depends on where on the support structure the lateral begins and how much room I have to wrap it around the supports. U-Pick fields have a pruning method for ease of access and commercial fields have a pruning method suited for machine harvest.

Gene, I purchased both of these figs from a nursery in Crawfordville, Florida called "Just Fruits and Exotics". The have a wonderful selection of all sorts of fruit trees, citrus, figs, peaches, pears, even 3 varieties of apple that grow in Florida! Great website too if you want to check it out. Just search under their name. They had a good number of figs that were developed over your way at LSU. I am getting there on my knowledge of citrus, but I am playing serious catch up ball in learning about figs. We have several very old fig trees at our farm and they are wonderful, so I decided to plant some at home. Jay

BAMA- you could easily use one mirror piece, but I didn't have one that big. My friend curb shopped a couple of those cheap door mirrors, so I cut them into 4 pieces to fit an old storm window. Sealed the mirror then attached with GEII and made my "panes."Quick, easy and all kinds of possibilities!!

I like the no watering part but it reflects twice the weeds, too!! LOL

That is so cute! So creative! Hmmmmm.... I'll bet that there are many of us with minds roaming toward outside 'window mirrors' now! :) Love the idea! Nice job!

Annie - yes that was a TS picture frame. I was going to put something in the center, but liked the mirror better

Barb..yep, that was what the mirror sealer was for. It was kind of hard to describe how I was going to do but it's really fast and easy

**sigh** the wall.. I've dragged out every piece of glass I have, a bunch of tiles and now dishes. I just didn't find any combination I liked. I just took off a bunch of glass I had thinsetted on. I finally found something I think I like and If I still like it in the morning, I should be making some progress!!
