Hi, Yes the pink (magenta) plate with the yellow center was originally clear. The brush strokes show a bit, but the glass is textured so it doesn't really matter. I need to get it made into something and out in the garden to test before winter is over. I do have a painted plate flower outside (on white plates). I used Pebeo 150. If you don't like how it looks you can wash it off (before baking). Baking didn't change the appearance except to make it a bit more shiny. I heard the Vitrea is more toxic. Kathy toomuchglass has used this paint too and she says it lasts very well. I plan to do some more now that the holidays are over. I can't buy the paint locally, but I hope to get to a Michaels soon to pick up another color or 2 (with one of their 50% off coupons!). We'll have to compare notes. Kathy

It is not going to work well with a brush. It is best used in thick layers or a bead line and dropped onto the surface from the opening in the tip. I like it for various things including mixed media like water color and using this for added depth or to give a painting a leaded glass effect. I made some very cute peel and stick lady bugs to go on my cards with it too. I have used it for dots on handpainted greeting cards too- sadly the dots never fully harden and stick to the next card, even a year later they seem a bit sticky. Oh speaking of sticky- it makes a nice window cling- we made them and stuck them to the microwave.

brutuses & mercurygirl - I found the paint color. It is Sherwin Williams 6827. We had originally chosen the next darker color on the leaf of the color book. After seeing the 2 foot sample block on the wall, we thought it was too intense - we wanted the bedroom a very restful color. Now I think I would have loved it. The 2 shades aren't that far apart. All of your suggestions have me thinking. Right now the sheets and duvet cover are almost the same color as the wall. I want to do something with the duvet cover to bring in more colors, either with sprinkle dyes or fabric embellishment. At one time I had planned to use some shades of green in that room as well - somewhere from olive to not quite lime. When I decided against drapes I'd forgotten all about that. And I have a small green vase of my Mom's that's perfect. :) ItÂs packed somewhere in the several boxes of things to go in my to-be-built dish cupboards. :( Oceanna, your painting is beautiful! I'm sending the photos to my sis for ideas. She paints on canvas, so I know she could do this for her house. The simple one tone per pane is more my speed. I like the look, but DH doesn't want the panes colored. I'm not sure it would go great with the outside look of the house. I had considered buying 16 identical items at a few dollars apiece. This would have ~sort of a valance effect. But the more I think about it, the more IÂm willing to spend, and the more I like the idea of a lot of different shapes. We probably wonÂt hang much on the walls here, at least not for awhile. That ametrine is gorgeous! I hadnÂt seen that stone before. Too bad it sold for over $200. The agate slices sell for pretty reasonable prices though - and there are a lot of nice ones on eBay. I picked up some great Christmas red glass there in January for about 80% off. Maybe IÂll call and ask when their purple goes on sale. LOL Paint chips  that vine sounds very pretty. IÂll keep my eyes open. Everyone  What I hope to end up with is interesting glass pieces in dark purple and green, with some clear cut glass mixed in. Oh my goodness - and I LOVE red stainless glass - it's the most expensive to buy cuz it has gold in it. Re paint, there are porcelain and glass paints at Hobby Lobby. If you can't find burgundy, you could mix your own by putting in a bit of blue in red - you could probably Google how to mix paints to make colors. I used to paint in oils, and mixed lots of colors.
