Best Post - Kudos for KK

I just wanted to say that KKNY's response on the Trapped thread was probably the nicest, most constructive thing I have seen her post, and I am impressed. Thanks for renewing my faith, KK.

I think it was the BREAKDOWN thread, not Trapped. (and I was impressed too)

We enjoyed hosting. It was a pleasure having you all here. I love all of my new garden warming presents...the best part of which is that they last forever (if I don't kill them)and will always remind me of all of you guys. Tootsie is exhausted after walking the yard and investigating every new plant (no kidding). There's nothing better than walking through the garden and having good memories everywhere I look. I'm only sorry it ended so soon... I was so busy I did not get a chance to spend much time with everyone. However, I know there will always be a next time :-)

Maybe its the knowledge base. So much of the forum's posts concern very specific requests pertaining to historical time, area, style, urban vs rural. etc. In asking for such particularized information, posters are requiring the answers of experts (or more web trolling by us amateurs!). Some forums seem to have these experts/professionals who are willing to spend time almost daily answering posts(like Landscape Design, Trees, Tropicals,Name That Plant, Winter Sowing, etc) Others, like the Garden Writers forum, seem to languish for lack of TLC from well-schooled forum users. I myself have no expertise in historical garden restoration. Only interest. I had wanted this forum to be more concerned with the practical aspects of common, everyday garden restoration, renewal, revamping, take it apart and put it back together-type gardening. So here we are . . . Ginger

I know that over the years we have had a number of exceptional cook/photographers begin to blog. I am not a blog follower in general so I can't name them all without help. Sol, Lori, Mirasol...I know there are others. Unfortunately I think most of them have subsequently drifted away from the cooking forum. Perhaps because they began to accept advertising and that conflicts with GW (Ann does not accept advertising). Or possibly because blogging is time intensive. I really don't know. Their contributions here are missed. Our loss, for sure. I appreciate that Ann continues to be an active participant here. Thanks Ann. Eileen

Yes indeed!!! Some of the best and longest posts have been responses and re-dos as they aply their craft. Such fun to view the PS before and afters, and sometimes followed by a photo of the actual results, accomplished in large part due to P. Shopers! Bless 'em.

I've been following this forum religiously for five years now! I don't post often but I have never missed a post and I have seen a lot of "regular posters" come and go over the years.

KKNY, I must say that I have been pleasantly surprised over the past few days with some of your posts. They have actually been helpful!

JNM,

I was going to respond to your post yesterday but didn't have a chance or the time to actually log in and type it out. I was going to wholeheartedly agree with you and offer my kudos to KK for a thoughtful, productive contribution....and I still do offer her that in response to her post on the BREAKDOWN thread...

Then it was almost as if she couldn't handle the affirmation she received here in your post...she just had to go after fleurs (completely tangential) in Thurman's post thanking others for their responses to the concerns he posts here...

Now there's the KKNY we've all come to know and love!
