My hubby just took this picture of me last night (no make up, in my grubs) in my veggie garden. The closest thing to mosaic are the stepping stones at my feet. The little green shack in the back is my "studio" lol. But I thought you'd get a kick out of a photo and let you see who you're chatting with on these forums!

Hope everyone is having fun. I'm still working hard on Mr. Sea. He is very slow going because I've been concentrating on the mouth and under the chin which are really tight and awkward to mosaic. The next sculpture I create will not have so many curves and bends for sure! But we live and learn with our first attempts, don't we?

Yes, it's a tinder box. I live near Wichita Falls. Our average year to date rainfall is a little over 20 inches. We've had a little over 3 inches so far. Combine that with temps between 105 and 112 and, well... At least it has cooled off the last few days. To make this a lawn thread, I have basically given up on my lawn this year. My front yard never greened up. I've watered the back yard but a $450 water bill slowed that down. A few weeks ago we were sitting by the pool on a Saturday afternoon and smelled smoke. My neighbor's lawn was on fire. I got to it barely in time to save the wooden fence. Had it been a week day when all were at work, well, I don't want to think about it. We have no idea how the fire started. A cigarette butt comes to mind but this is a small residential street with little traffic except for the residents.

Chaz, I'm so very proud of you! :-) I feel like a Mom watching her son graduate... we've all followed your schooling, heard about your studying and all your tests... and now, here you are... you've come out the other end with such a wonderful achievement! I'm very proud of your accomplishment, Nurse Chaz! I can't imagine you'll have any problems with State Boards or anything else you come up against. Your study habits are obviously good ones, and you've set your mind to seeing this through to the end, which is really a new beginning! I'm so excited for you, I could just burst! I can imagine how elated you are, and how proud Chase must be... what a wonderful announcement! Congratulations... and as Cindee said... I NEED A NURSE! Not just any nurse will do... I WANT NURSE CHAZ! :-) And I have a feeling you'll be hearing that a lot!

The nice thing about aged cheddar, depending on the sharpness, is that you can pair almost any wine with it. In most cases, you can treat it like you would a Parmesan. I think most people might lean towards a red like a Cabernet or a Merlot. Almost any red will work. But I'm going suggest something different and go white instead. Try a Viognier. I once went "out of the box" and served this white with a course ground mustard crusted beef tenderloin and it was a hit. It's a little spicy yet fruity so it can stand up against the cheddar without being too heavy. It's similar to a Gewurztraminer, which is more commonly available and also something you can try. HTH

Don't have an action shot, but here's one of me. Should have my neighbor take one of me when I'm out in the garden with my sweatband on. I look like an old feminine Rambo! LOL!

G'mornin' - nice to meet y'all - Nope - I'm not photogenic, so the only pic you'll get of me was the one on the Cleo bench - in work clothes. I look worse than a homeless person when I'm working - no sense in dirtying up good clothes. Nice looking garden you have LORI, and I DO believe I see a naked birdbath just begging for some tiles.

Awwwwwwwwww c'mon Slow... you should see me when I'm out working. Homeless is a perfect description! Next time I'm out there all hot, sweaty, dirty, stinky I'll take a pic! :)
