You did really well ICHEER. I hightailed it to my HobLob and spent about $85 for 11 pieces. Unfortunately, the selection has been going down hill this last year, BUT I did get a lead on a new store in Longview. SLOW and I will try to check it out late next week. I don't know what happened to the great place we found in Little Rock but it is CLOSED (and they JUST moved locations). They aren't answering the phone OR responding to my e-mails.

Oh Wow! 23 NEW pieces of glass, how exciting that must be. I wish we had Hobby Lobby up here in Canada eh! The local stained glass shops here NEVER have sales on glass.

The selection is a bit limited - mostly basic colors and no specialty glass (at least here in my local stores) but still some nice "bones" to any glass stash :-)

Speaking of bargains ... can y'all share your favorite online bargain sources for materials?

Maybe one of our computer savvy people here can start a SOURCE document so that we can add to and refer newbies to. MAD, you out there? Like Delphi for .....Mosaics by Maria for....Mosaic Mercantile for..... ETC

The HL near me has a pitiful selection, maybe they will have a run on it, sell it all and have to stock some more. One can only hope!

I am surprised you could even type this post to us. If it had been me getting the glass I would still be fondling and looking at it and dreaming up projects.Good Job and I can't wait to see what you do with it. Wondering if there is a HL anywhere with in 100 miles from us???

Shades of Idaho - I've been drooling and dreaming since I bought it, but my granddaughters are here for a visit so I'm getting in serious snuggling time instead. They return home tomorrow - look out weekend!! I'll be cutting and grinding before the sun comes up :-)

Hi ! I have been reading this board for about a month now, ever since my sister told me about it . ( After all..... what are sisters for ? ) She kept it a secret as long as she could before telling me .
After reading the post about HL stores having a sale, I had to check it out for myself. The selection was still pretty decent, but underneath one of those sale ads that they post on the shelves where the sale item is, I found 2 pieces of light green glass, that had been marked down to $ 2.49. Wow ! Was I ever excited ! My husband came looking for me and he ask what I was doing, I told him I was checking every slot to see if they had any more glass marked down ! He thought I was nuts, and just went on about his merry way. I was in heaven for the rest of the day.

Love all the creations that everyone does, and especially the pictures.
