happy happy news!!!

I have to post it, DH and I found out we are having a boy! DH and I went to the doctor's and had an ultrasound and sure enough it's a boy!!! He's on cloud nine! 25 1/2 weeks and he weighs 1 3/4 lbs, so now I can go broke buying all that baby stuff we don't have from when my 3 year old was a baby.

I was in bed at 10, but the fireworks up the bayou started at dark and continued into the night. I have no idea when midnight actually was. I woke up at one point and it was quiet, so I figured the people with more money than brains had finally ran out of fire power. Living on a bayou, the sound travels, and then because of the tall trees around, it echoes from the other side, so you hear it twice...on both sides of you. I got up this morning and noticed not very many animals came to eat. I don't blame them. I didn't venture out last night either. :))

Happy New Years to each and everyone of you and wishing for blessings to you and yours. My New Year's resolution is to improve my health. Which I can do with a bit more exercise and taking garlic more frequently. I caught this cold because I hadn't been doing that although I walk everyday for about an hour and a half with the dogs. It had been a year and a half since I had caught a cold and I attribute that mostly to the fact that I was taking a bit of raw garlic three or four times a week. That's the only change I made to bring the cold numbers down.

Angel - you have my sincerest congratulations! From a woman who has raised 6, yes 6 little boys (my brother's three, now teens, and my 3 young sons), there's nothing that brings a smile to my face more than hearing about a little miracle on the way! Enjoy these days and esp. those newborn days. They are so fleeting as you well know. It's a state of sleep deprivation but one of such awe and wonder, too. Ahhh...

I never found out gender and after my first bioson, never needed an US to tell me what I was going to have, lol. In the waiting room as I had my third (a big surprise as I was 40 when I had him) the same L&D nurse I had w/ my second was w/ me. She said, "Aren't you the dentist who was raising a bunch of boys?" I said that I was. She then said, "Hmmmmm, that heart rate is up there this time...this could be the girl!" I said, "Sherrie, the third musketeer will arrive w/ a musket!" A few hours later, she burst out laughing when he did!

Jon and I both always new that we were having a boy! But my dad and his aunt, who is like his mom and a bunch of other's kept telling us it was a girl. LOL, they had to confirm the due date for the third time. It's changed so much!

LOL the three musketeer's that's cute!
