Well, started tidying up my place and planning a fun afternoon at my place when the gals arrive:so found some extra tools we might need at a fleamarket, scored some awesome slate for my front door patio project, a globe to make my own concrete bb, real ones have the possibility of cracking here, dollar store flowers and vase for birdbath project, and a gorgeous 3 bowl blue glass flower to do something funky with! Scored 3 green marble ft sq pcs for $2!!! Just spent the sat scrounging, was sooo fun! Here's the pics of my treasures...

Wow...what treasures! I love love love the blue flower! And the yellow flowers are wonderful too. But, what do I see in the background of the yellow ones? Looks like stained glass panel in the works. What is it?

Thanks again to all of you for the kudos, Cindee, the penny bowling balls were just roughed up and covered with pennies. I used liquid nails clear and covered them solid. It took a whole $5.80 worth of pennies. I have done several and just keep something going on all the time to work on when I sit down on my patio fora coffee break. I will glue a few pennies, drink my coffee, enjoy the yard and then get back to whatever else I was working on. The bottle trees have quite a history here in the south and a lot of people used to take broken bottles and glue the pieces around their windows to keep out evil also. But you have to be careful and not break one or it lets all the evil spirits out...oh no! Hard to chase around! LOL

Thank you for sharing that precious bundle with us all. The family's use of my middle name has caused me trouble. Today every official document has to have my legal name on it. I've had to change credit cards, airline reservations, etc. to 'match' my legal name. Before surgery I have to make sure the recovery room staff knows I won't answer to my first name when coming out of anesthesia. I once sat in a college class wonding why some dumb girl wasn't answering the professor. (I only realized *I* was being called on when he added the surname.) You want to call your child "Sue"? Make that her legal name, not her middle name. Or call her "Susan" if you want to call her "Sue" -- another bit of confusion when people assume my name is short for something else. A cousin named a child "Leaf" back in the hippie era. She changed her name when she started school and changed it legally as soon as she was old enough to do so.

GET THAT CAMERA THING WORKED OUT, GIRLIE!!! Where's DH? Betcha he can fix it. Everything sounds fabulous. You and KLINGER w/have soooooo much fun playing w/the kiln. I want one, but think I've finally decided to let it go. The dichroic glass I would like to play w/is way too expensive for my stingy self. Then the clay, utensils, molds, glazes etc. - well - it's another black hole to pour my pennies down, so I'll enjoy seeing what y'all make.

You crack me up! As far as sleeping, Nature Made has a capsule called Sleep that has melatonin, chamomile and some other things that are helpful. Works well for a couple of folks I know. For me, a teeny bit of a melatonin tablet is enough. The full 3mg gives me wild dreams. As Carla said, best to check with your doctor before taking anything. Also, don't know if it's a factor, but too much sugar or alcohol right before bed messes with blood sugar levels, waking us up in the middle of the night, so I'd avoid that.

I am curious what you have in mind for those glass flowers?

I have a bunch of them that I've had for years, and never thought of using them in a project. Would be cool to see them in a piece.

Here's what I would do w/them. Can't quite get a feeling for this flue tile yet, so have drawn out the diamond shapes. I was thinking of filling it in w/mirror, then putting a big flower in each of the negative corners, and filling in w/high-contrast shards, but that's not what REALLY strikes my fancy right now, so I'm gonna take a rest/nap maybe to "dream" up an idea. Something like those glass flowers w/be great for those negative spaces outside the diamonds. Why don't you build yourself a column and put them in it, for a really cool 3-D piece?

I have a lot of the glass flowers. I bought them at a Freds store over several weeks.They were $1. each. I had originally wanted to do an "all glass" garden with them and some stepping stones. Now they are just stuck in the ground around a turtle planter I had.
I really like the little birds! I can see them swirling around a column!!

I plan to nip off the flowers from their stems and glue em onto something, maybe I'll use my newly scored 5"round drain tiles and make a Totem with the big blue glass bowls/flower on top!kinda like the totem I'm working on now....and that background is the layout of my infamous peacock, that now that I will have some more time, maybe I'll get done!!! Right now I have a whole list of things I've started that I haven't finished that I gotta deal with, even a bunch of stuff that I haven't sealed the grout on yet....
