Brand new kitchen. Beautiful white cabinets. So new, in fact, I only have it about halfway reassembled. Husband breaks an ENTIRE unopened bottle of red white on the White Ice granite and it runs down the face of the brand new cabinets. It was a good old vine zin, too. Did I mention that it's a BRAND NEW kitchen? With some newly-christened PINK cabinets? Every cleaning suggestion I came across involved abrasives except this bleach and water combo. I decided to give it a try. Took a little patience and gentle wiping, but within minutes the stain was gone. Flamingos will no longer be able to camouflage against my kitchen cabinets. YAY!

CEFreeman: I know that is a common mistake- I'ld like to think that most folks are now aware that above the fridge is the last place you should put your wine. But then again, what about olive oil next to the stove? That's the most convenient place to keep it, and where most folks store it, but exposing it to the heat is also bad for the olive oil. I am keeping my design the way it is, although we tweaked the cabinet so the bottom doors line up with the glass doors above. I've decided that the "crate" wine storage is fine for us- and I like the way it breaks up the cabinetry. No wine drawers available through Medallion, but I'm fine with it.

Not that easy to answer, not knowing what type fabric is on your upholstered piece. There should be a code to the fabric, either under it, on a cushion tag, or store receipt.... If its a fabric that will not take a water based product or DIY attempt, the water or product could leave a permanent stain in itself...and I learned that the hard way. What a nuisance. Well, I don't grow a deep purple but 'Dusky Challenger' has been the favorite for many years. Schreiners turns out superb lav-blues and purples. Looking at pictures it seems Dusky is a bit darker than 'Matinata'. Which is lovely. 'Black is Back' (Schreiners, AM'14), 'Black Suited' (Innerst, HM'03), 'Black Tie Affair' (Schreiners, AM'97) --- pictures show them to be on the blacker side. Deep wine reds --- I didn't like 'Mulled Wine' (Keppel, AM'86) after a day because it opened its standards too wide but great color. 'Merlot' was meh. The names escape just now but I found the saturated jewel tones stunning. Their dawback is fade. Ghio does some. Maybe Keppel. BlueJ Iris has reasonable prices and a large selection. I think you deduct 10% if you don't want bonuses. Listed are awards which is helpful when I am unsure. If an iris didn't even get an HM I'm probably going to be disappointed down the line (experience speaking). I also look at height for my small garden. Try to resist the 40 inchers. Good luck Linnea.
