Communication of events

I'm curious to know what others are doing in this area:

How is communcation between ex's handled when it's very bad, and usually ends in an arguments, anger, and threats to take one another to court?

If both parents are on mailing lists at the school (high school) is there additional communcation needed for events around non-academic clubs?

Should the sole responsibility for this rely on the CP, or is it appropriate to expect that the NCP will get the same information in the mail if both are on the mailing lists?

Any feedback would be appreciated!

As far as our situation goes... she picks them up from school and has them for approx two hours before we get off work. We (my hubby and me) are of the opinion if she wanted to know or bothered to do homework she would look in the paperwork and find out.

We call and tell her about major events (to which she rarely shows unless I am going to be there or she can make a scene about how great she is)

For instance: parents football meeting coming up... We will tell her .. wether she cares or not to show who cares...

I always prefer to not be able to be made the bad guy "you never bothered to tell me.. so I couldnt attend"

If we can't or dont feel the urge to speak in person... we do this nifty thing with the cell phone that goes directly to voicemail without her phone actually ringing... give the info and then we never have to talk... and since she always has her phone.. she cant say i never got the message..

How do you do the cellphone thing? Is that part of your carrier, or can anyone do it?

I await W7. I'm at work at the moment so I don't have my bookmarked pages available. W7 is not an actual new release, but rather an upgrade to Vista. Vista's architecure was security based where W7's is going to start with the Vista foundation but be be performanced focused. The available editions which we have become accustomed to are reported to be changing their content. The identifying names are pretty much the same, but the versions' capabilities have been refined. In all as I explain to people, the release of W7is quite similar to the release of Win98SE in improving Win98OE. Personally I haven't found anything wrong with my Vista system and I do forcast the habitual release "uproar" will be present with W7. I say this as I get the impression from talking with users, and reading posts and columns that the XP users are complacent with their systems and are not going to be too responsive and comfortable with any type of change. I hope people read the whole thing. It shows a breakdown of how the funds will be spent. this one from Arizona, entered by a politician is one I absolutely would NOT vote for. . . $ 1,500 Outreach & promotion $ 21,000 Staff & experts $ 23,000 Training expenses $ 4,500 Travel & lodging Only $1,000 for the actual outreach... True government in action! More government, not so much help to citizens I will go check out the ones you list!

I check the kids back packs for notices and have a folder in the oldests backpack that BM checks for notices. I make a copy of the notices for us and send the original to BM in the folder. So when she has the kids on her two nights only one school night though she leaves them so I can copy them and send them back on sunday night. Communication is not easy with BM. She has to be told weekly to write stuff that needs to be communicated between parents down instead of telling the kids. They don't remember stuff and she gets all over them for "not telling daddy". She doesn't have email and voice mail is always full. I send text messages via the computer to her phone. Her calls to my cell go directly to my voicemail(security feature on most cell phones). She can call the housephone and leave a message there. Its a lot of work but stopping by the school once in a while to pick up notices worked for me at the beginning. Until we started the folder/calendar in the oldests backpack. Last summer we exchanged a notebook & calendar ... of events the kids had planned. Same will be done this year.

Yes, I think that one has been on the list for a while now. I got a firsthand look at how invasive it can be at my house. I lost an entire bed of rudbeckia and echinacea because of it. The only good thing about it, is that it pulls up very easily. I read up a bit on it last year. Apparently it is best removed later in the summer. That way when new WEEDlings come up from the seed bank, they don't have time to produce seed and are winter killed. Another method is to continuously mow it down.

We use e-mail and e-mail her during work hours since we know she doesn't have a computer at home.
