how much room between round tables needed

Hi all

I am using a small hall and am worried about free walking room around table.

Does anyone know how much room I would need between the tables.

Tables are 5' rounds with 10 chairs to a table and I have 8 tables.

The head table will be 8' rectangle.

My references say that for 60 inch tables, you will need a 10' X 10' chunk of space. However, it is possible you will need a bit more than that. My references also say that a 60" round table will seat 6-8. With 10 people at the table, you will give each person 18" of table space. That is a lot closer than many folks are accustomed to sitting. So, they might be sitting a bit farther from the table than my calculations assume. Ten and a half feet might be a bit better.

A 60" table usually seats 8; a 72" table seats 10, so your guests will be very crowded. If you plan to have a buffet or simple light fare, it might work. However, if you plan to have a full sit-down dinner with the tables pre-set with silverware, water goblets, etc. you may not be able to fit 10 people at a table. You will need at least a 10' square for each table to allow room for guests to scoot their chairs in and out from the table. Allow at least 3' between tables. Allow about 2' away from a wall.

Manual says minimum of 2 5/8" for door to open 90". For the full 125" opening, clearance would need to be 10". We tested it yesterday by moving the fridge around and found that about 4" would be enough to open the door a bit past 90" and all drawers and shelves can slide out fully should I ever need to take them out for cleaning. One possible option is to put in a narrow utility cabinet in the corner and have the fridge go next to that. Ikea's narrowest is 15". I'd need to double check exactly where the water line is to make sure it would still be in the fridge area and not get stuck behind the utility cabinet. That may be my best option to avoid a large filler. Thanks all!

How much space needed between tub and toilet?

Wdcruise, thank you. sorry it took me so long. I am not getting all of my notifications when someone replies. The hall closet used to contain the original furnace so it needs a new floor and needs drywalled. I would rather keep it deep, but I could make it more shallow to give me room for a tub. Maybe move the back closet wall about 15-18"? 18" + 33" +3" (frame of current shower) = 54" + I have 36" to the outside rim of toilet. Should be enough for a tub. The only reason I want a tub/shower is because it will be less expensive and easier to install a tub. We live in a rural area and very few contractors here know what they are doing. We have not found anyone yet who knows how to install a tile floor in a shower correctly. (We asked how they would do it and what materials they would use.) So a tub would be less problematic for the contractor. The current shower has a center drain. I guess I will need to find a new shower with a center drain or have the drain moved for a new shower or tub. The house is on a slab so I have no idea what moving the plumbing would cost.

How big of a round table can I put in my room

I would do a rectangle shape, no wider than 48”, and you might be able to get by with 6’ long. Your biggest factor is the size of your chairs. Benches wouldn’t take much room. I don‘t think they’re very comfortable but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.

I do special event decorating and for sure 8 guests to a 60" round table is pretty much max. You can't even fit more than 8 standard banquet sized chairs around an 60" round table (when the chairs are put up to the table).I'm sure your hall would let you stop by and let you see the way it looks when they have another event and you could count the tables that are set up and then get a good idea from there.
