Anita, "What a Wonderful World" has been a favorite of mine for years and years. A lovely song for the mother/son dance. I marveled at the fact that it's even an option for DS and I to fly free in the sky, so I had to have it in the video. Ozzy Osbourne's "Crazy Train" came to me one day while I was weeding :) Woody-Yeah, it was not so much jumping as "falling...with style", lol! PM, That second where balance tipped and there was no going back was a rush like I've never experienced. I got huge goosebumps when I watched the video. I had an odd dream the other night that I was strapped to the same instructor, but my camera guy was Mike Rowe from Dirty Jobs...and the dirty jobs theme song was playing. Not an option I would turn down, by the way. Mike Rowe's awful pretty to look at, and I ALWAYS hug the camera guy and tell him I love him, LOL! I loved EVERYBODY when I got safely to the ground ;) Thanks for indulging me once again, and you probably won't have to hear anything about skydiving again......until September. Brenda

Ugh, your post is so upsetting! I don't think I could have took all the baiting going on all day like that. Plus it was your party that your MIL chose to crash & act up at. But, that's not the real issue. I've followed your life story on the other board. I feel so bad that this is happening to you when it seems your were pretty much expected to parent SD and deal with all the tough stuff and get not even basic respect in return. It seems like it is just not worth it. It's too hard in situations like this. If your DH won't nix his dear mothers nasty behaviors & insist she treat you with respect, you're stuck with her & her reign of terror. I know how awful that can be. I wondered how things would have went down if you insisted she leave your home/the party. Try confronting her on her nastiness every time to her face no matter who is there and see what happens. Bullies hate to be confronted. Bleh.. I'm so sorry. ~Cat

You're participating in his assaults by NOT reporting him. How will you feel if next week he abuses that little baby and it dies? Will you feel badly that you could have done the right thing and reported it, but didn't? or will you just be glad it wasn't you he killed? I'm sorry--really I am--to be so blunt, but you're describing a very serious situation. Your son SHOULD be in jail. He won't learn to grow up and be responsible until those around him insist that he face the appropriate consequences for his actions. At the very least, Monday morning, call your lawyer, sit down with him/her, tell them everything. Find out what your responsibilities are (could you be charged with a crime if you DON'T report the crimes you know he's committed?) and what your options for protecting yourself are. Get the right answers from a professional in your jurisdiction. And while you're at it, please also research shelters in your area. Keep that info on you, just in case you or the baby's mother need it. I do wish you the best, but I also hope you realize what you have to do and do it.

Nanajayne - the bride and all of the bridesmaids put handwarmers in their bras!!! Most of the groomsmen also put them in the back pockets of their pants! I had them in my shoes and bra, too, since it was only about 35 degrees! It was a wonderful day - I am anxious to see the photos from the photographer. She only posted 6 on her "preview" so will have to wait for the kids to get the CD! Bev, I am sure you will enjoy an extended stay if you come in May. The national park is beautiful at that time of year! Hard to believe she is graduating already! Enjoy your Christmas break with her! Sue
