I jumped at your post because I love toile (!) and pink's my favorite color.

I used a Laura Ashley toile for my children's nursery but truthfully, it would be way too twee for your daughter. I did a quick search of my favorite (online) toile sources and I guess I'm left with this thought:

Wouldn't a pastoral toile be lovely for your daughter? It would mature with her and the scenes of animals, etc. is both eight year-old friendly as well as eighteen year-old friendly. ???

I couldn't talk my own daughter into toile, so I'm excited for you, and I think the pink walls make it very hip and young!

sueb20 I love toile also, if you go to joanPeters.com, she has a sweet mermaid toile in beautiful pastels I think it would be very fitting for a little girls room. I am pretty much a lurker here, but seem to remember the posters from Boston or there abouts. I am south of Boston. Good luck.

I love this one that bestyears posted (above). I think that it is just the right mix of black with the white. I think a lot of black and white toile has too much black and is overpowering. This is so sweet and simple.

Yes Squirrel, That is in my insp. album. It is not mine unfortunately. I do not remember where I got it.

Here are some limited pics of my DD's room. She is 3. I chose everything. My mom says it is "too old", but I love it. The comforter is Waverly, but it may be discontinued. This is a very low budget room, including the furniture, bought at auction. I may eventually paint it white/cream, but I haven't gotten to it, yet.

dixie, that is one cute room! I'm also looking for a headboard -- did you get yours anywhere I might find online??

My DD saw this quilt and said Ooooohhh.... and for this price I couldn't pass it up (link below). Now I just need to find a rug... and a headboard... I decided a black-on-white toile wasn't going to work because the bottom of her walls are white wainscoting and I didn't want the white against the white. So this quilt works (or we'll see, when it arrives.)

The bed was purchased at a local furniture store. I didn't want to spend the Pottery Barn prices so I looked in town and happened to find it (big surprise!).

Notice the editing of the photos - no mess! LOL!
