I would use Scheepers, because they have a wholesale side---Van Engelen--and you can make large orders & get a price break. *And* they are very good size, high quality bulbs. Also a family business as is Brent & Becky. New2Gardening---if you get your tulip bulbs in your hands in early August, they will have been dug out of the ground in July in the Netherlands, which is too early! They have to "cure" after digging, then of course be shipped etc. Your wedding favors will be much less likely to come up next year & thrive. If you want to give some kind of plant as a favor for a summer wedding, how about small potted hydrangea plants? We got ours that way & it is out in the front yard fright now, covered with blue blooms & reminding us of our friends' wedding. They are obtained by cutting, and somewhere in some greenhouse there are thousands of them ready to be shipped to you.

Hi ams_319, Congratulations on your upcoming wedding. You might try calling and discussing 'bulbs' with the site linked below. Depending on how much you intended to spend 'per bulb/favor' they may have some sort of mix available. I'm thinking maybe lilies. Otherwise you might ask if it would be possible to get something that 'usually' ships later, like daffodils or hyacinths. Possibly they could help you. Regardless of whatever you get, I'd include some simple planting instructions with the bulbs...time to plant, depth, etc. Sue Here is a link that might be useful: Brent and Becky's Bulbs contact info

Someone recently showed me the bookmark she got as a wedding favor. It was beautifully printed, paper, pictures, fonts. I believe it was laminated and had a pretty ribbon attached. On one side it had things about the bridal couple (picture, date of wedding) on the other side was a word; hers said FINANCE and a scripture relating to finance was below it. Each guest was asked to use the bookmark and pray for couple over the years to come. So my friend is praying over their finances, someone else would pray over their health, etc. I'm sure you could use the fruits of the spirit for words - everyone at the table would get a different word! And the couple will be covered with prayer! I was thinking of doing this for my DD's baby shower.

Hi Jo: I used to do that too but then began selling so many I wanted different scents so started scenting them after they had set up and dryed. I make my own scent in a small spray bottle with FO and some alcohol then spray very lightly toss them and spray again let dry and package I use a lot of roses because of the larger petals so use rose fragrance. Right now I am doing autumn leaves and spraying with Huckleberry Wine FO or Pumpkin Spice. I get the leaves in little packages in the Dollar Tree and they are a big hit. Another secret I learned is that I take the flowers apart but leave them as the whole petal dip and then cut apart later. It sure goes faster. Since my jobs go from CEO to pot washer it sure saves me time LOL Doris
