Finally did a project,, bowling ball.

Life has kept me so busy lately it seems, however I managed to find the time to make a bowling ball, grouted it in good old grey, and put it on a stand in the garden,

Great job..............another idea to put on my TO-DO list! OMG I'll never get to the end. What type of glue did you use to hold the glass pieces on? Does anyone know what type of paint may have been used on the ones in the GJ Inspiration Album. My thought process really started rolling after seeing all those inspireing bowling balls.

That side of my favorite bed is visible from the master bedroom, breakfast room, living room & my son's room. I have benches and chairs dotted around outside that have different views. My problems is usually when I'm outside I am working. Occasionally I'll sit and look. I love to just stand close in front of that bed because it's always covered in bees, butterflies & hummers! I'm now working on a reclaimed birdcage to hang from the tree that the G is propped against. I'll post pictures when I'm done :)

Thank you so much for wanting to add it to the gallery!! How exciting for me!! Believe it or not, the ball started out with a totally different design. On two other sides there are dragonflies, but I couldn't continue that pattern without screwing it up more & more as I went along, so finally I decided to go with this swirl pattern & it filled in perfectly & I wished I had done the whole thing that way. Thanks so much for all of the wonderful compliments. I was happy with how he turned out. My husband rolled his eyes at my project until I showed him what I was trying to do and then he started helping me find the things I needed to do this right. Still keeping an eye for a plant stand but also like the froggy in my cement planter. Does anyone know what kind of paint I would need to paint the cement planter? I did the eyes with the tea light holders. Someone else on this board did a frog bb and I loved it. She used the glass tea light holders but I couldn't find those but the dollar store had the metal holders. So i painted the tin holder and glued an eye in it that I bought at Hobby Lobby. I forget what department the eyes were in but they had all kinds of sizes and these big ones were perfect for this. Wish I had grand kids but not yet! I adore kids but my son is only 22 and daughter is 15. They better wait to have kids!!!! Mindy

Love it Klinger,I know this time of year is harder with yards and weeds calling us...but making time for it was a good thing and it looks lovely in your yard....where does everyone get stands for your balls??????Not straps,STANDS LOL!!!!!

woo hoo Cindy, looks great, but then all your work is fabulous!!! Missed seeing you around, I've been working so much on the computer doing my graphics, but now it's time to get out in the yard. I want to cover some strawberry pots with mosaics, perhaps they will keep their moisture longer?? What adhesive did you use on the ball??

Hi Ruth, it's been a while since I've posted I'm just so darn busy it seems. I love gardening and when the weather turns nicer that's what I want to do. The stand was from a thrift shop, I usually only pay around a dollar for them.I used ge marine silicone. Jane and I go halfers on cases of the stuff. She's picking up a case to bring tommorow I think.I think you"d have to seal the inside and out side of your strawberry pot so moisture wouldn't loosen the mosaic.It felt good to do a project, but likely won't do a lot more over the summer. I have an idea I want to do a mosaic bench top though,
