I LOVE everyone's windows and kitchens, and I want to come to Peyton's party also! These double casements were just installed yesterday. We ordered three, but had to settle for two to allow enough space for other things. Those cabinets are going. The only wall with anything above counter will be the fridge wall. My main inspirations were erikanh, jenswrens and these steel windows from Things That Inspire. We didn't come close to any of these, but we like ours anyway. They fit the scale and scope of our house and renovation. boxerpups, great pix as always! I had some of the same ones in my inspiration file. pps7, your elevation looks a little limited in space for a towel rack. The door of the sink cabinet looks like the most likely, unless there is some clever disguise for the wall to the left of the windows. Is that a LS in the right corner? Is there a possibility there? I am planning to put a bar in one of the pullouts near the sink. igloochic, try this -- point your lens at the dark part just above the window, push the shutter half way, then move your camera down to center the window in the lens and take the picture. If that is overexposed, try right on the edge of the window. Also try the same things with flash, if you haven't.

Feeling your pain. We have 21 windows and they are builder grade and the house is 20 years old. We can’t afford to do all at the same time so we are doing them in stages. A lot of companies don’t want to do less than 10. Our current quotes are from Brock windows and Lowe’s. Quoted 7 windows but due to finances we are doing 5 on this pass. Have requested quote through Costco twice and still haven’t been contacted. 2 companies told us they won’t do 5 windows.

What will that do for the outside? Maybe just add side drapes at the same level as the palladium horizontal to trick the eye.

If the OP had been really happy with what their designer had recommended they would not have posted the question here. Designers are always happy to try different things in other people's homes! They can add an extra photo to their portfolio and they don't have to live with the results! I think OP is looking for validation to stand up to the designer ... just the vibe I got from the question.
