I was dreading getting my first low volume toilet until I stayed in a hotel with the Toto line of products. Fortunately for me I procrastinated in getting one and now American Standard has the same type of engineering in their toilets for half the cost or less. I know I sound like a shill for American Standard but I LOVE my new Cadet 3 toilet. It is very quiet, flushes completely in 2 seconds (see video below) and refills quickly and quietly in 30 seconds. Any toilet that can flush over a dozen golf balls in 2 seconds can probably handle your 7-year-old's production. I decided the first time I DON'T have to call a plumber for a drain clean out, or embarrass my guests with plumbing problems, I will have easily paid for the toilet. If I owned a plunger I would clean it as best I could in the clean toilet, shake water off, and drop it in the trash can to dry.

I have used pods in mne and thrown them in becaue of this very issue. Where are their beta testers? I get icons becasue they cross the language barrier, but they could use icons that would give you a hint at what they were. Bubbles maybe. Not to mention the fact that they are not marked in color. Most of these stackers are in basememts or closets where light is poor. I can't see the raised design at all. I had to take a flash photo and try to discern which was which when I wanted to rinse my whites with vinegar. It would cost them a buck to print the use in three languages above the wells. Come on. Bosch. Get with it.

That's a gorgeous garden orb and stand. You put a lot of work into those pansies and have created a very elegant statement. Now that I've said all that I have no idea about estimated price-'cause to me most of the projects I see here are priceless! (Not being cute, I really mean that). The value of artistic expression is very personal and usually in the eye (pocketbook) of the beholder. (I'm hearing a collective "duh!" from the other cult members). I remember one of you told me to sell for two or two and a half times the amount you put in it-so maybe start there. My garden orbs sell anywhere from $45-$75 depending on what's on them and none of them have a stand nor are they as beautiful as yours! Not sure this is helpful, but I've earned my two cents for the day!

Snidely, I got a wonderful, thoughtful thank you note from a man not long ago. He is someone we don't know well, but when he was younger he was hired to drive for someone we are related to by marriage when that gentleman was beginning stages of Alzheimer's. A faithful companion and caring personal employee. He's no longer driving on the freeway himself, and twice DH has called him to see if he'd like to be picked up for an out of town event. He accepted, and followed up later with very kind handwritten note (beautiful handwriting). I found it gracious and thoughtful. Suzieque, you may not know it but you've already been generous with your neighbor. You've provided him with an opportunity to show his son its important to be a helpful part of his community. A lesson DH learned very young, and still follows today with neighbors and an elderly former neighbor. And she does try to repay him, but knowing her limited means it will frustrate him if she buys him something. Her cinnamon rolls he will happily accept. I don't think you are creating a circumstance of expectance if you occasionally treat them though, gift card for a movie or coffee bar (where they usually have Italian fruit sodas appropriate for fathers and teens both). A thank you note other times is more than enough. DH will still talk about being a boy and having his mother send him to the next farm to put in hay for the widow there. I don't know if you are familiar with the process of cutting, baling, loading into the truck then into the barn, but it's hot, dirty, prickly work. He was paid in popsicles, his mother wouldn't allow him to complain or take more ;) He laughs about it even now.
