It sounds like you will have lots of fun with your great buys. Just make sure you post pictures of what you inventually do with them!

DH & I went to a well-known 1X a yr craft show yesterday, too...it's in a school & all on one floor ...done well & has a good reputation. Yes, there was LOTS of jewelry...very popular item! (lots of gift buying & original charm bracelets being made, etc...lots of Christmas gifts were purchased, I think) There were 4 diff woodworkers which always is a treat! Some w/old wood, some with fine woodworking...fun to look! But the best (in my book, anyway) was a lady who does 'barbed wire' art! She's been around at diff craft shows for probably about 10 yrs in this area. Anyway, she added GLASS to her barbed wire art! & I tell you it was awesome! Like for a wire star, she added one of those clear crystal star shaped candleholders in the center & some addition curly cues ...AWESOME! I have bought from her in the past ... just the original barbed wire star ...so if I catch her at the next show I am going to make another purchase! Some are big items...some small...some dragonflies ...some flowers...some dishes were added as centers...lots of creativity! So there still are some good ones, 2much...& there are lots of jewelry lovers (I love to look). And there always is the BEST homemade pie! LOL! Jeanne S.

I've only just stumbled on this thread, so I hope you don't mind me contributing! I'm very much into Craft Fayres and all things hand crafted and have built up a collection of about 7-8 earring "mushrooms" which stand about 3-4" high and have a series of holes in the cap of the mushroom for either dangly earrings or even studs. Sort of like this http://www.cole-woodturners.co.uk/images/earring_stand_-_takes_12_pairs_271108-1.jpg I've seen some that are flatter and have a second tier above. For bracelets I have another wooden stand with 3 legs/spokes on top of a central pillar and the bracelets just dangle. Necklace stands are about 10-11" high and similarly have either mini hooks for hanging chains/necklaces or the other one has little slots which is better suited to beaded/leather necklaces. Until I began writing this post, I was going to say my biggest problem was storing the "cuff" type bracelets, which just twizzle and fall off the bracelet tree, but a search on Google Images has given me a WHOOOLLLLEEEE load of other avenues and ideas to follow up! I was hoping I'd be able to attach a picture of my dressing table with my variety of trees, but I cant work out how...!

Take a huge garage sale picture frame. Cut a piece of 1/4" plywood or paneling to fit the frame, and cover with batting and fabric of your choice. Get a few cabinet knobs from any good junk shop :^) and attach them along the top and another row about 10" down. Fasten the covered panelling into the picture frame. Hang necklaces from the top ones and bracelets from the next row. Earrings can be bagged or put on cardboard and pinned to the top of the frame or attached to the necklaces that they match. Pins can be "pinned" into the batting in any position.
