How wonderful! That has great potential for indoors or out. How deep is the hole? Would it support a tall pole, like for a birdhouse, or flag? I'd love to get my hands on one, to use as a stand for one of these-

I don't have any trees, so the birdhouse idea is great. I just have to get the styrofoam out of the hole because I have no clue how deep it is. I think they sprayed that expandable foam in it. Ugh. I love the SassyTrash site. Thanks!

You could always put a pole in the ground and turn your find upside down on the pole. It looks like it would support 4 hanging plants. You could still put a gazing ball in the center.

A bird house without tree cover is dangerous for the birds - around my place sometimes the trees are not even enough to deter the birds of prey.

I do have cats in the area, so the birdhouse may not be a good idea. Maybe for inside decor. :)

Thanks for the hanging basket idea. I do like that. I need to figure out what type of pole to add to it. It would have to fit down into that hole and be sturdy enough to hold the baskets once in the ground. :) Or perhaps I'll think of something else to hang from it.

Is it tall enough to make a table out of?
a side table for your living room/
a round coffee table?

It only sits at about 15 inches tall. Haven't measured it, but that's approximately how high it is. A little short for a side table to the couch or coffee table. I like the idea, though, of using it was a table. Maybe like a plant stand. Don't really need one of those, though. Haha. Thanks for the ideas. The more ideas I get, the more I think of other things to do with it! :)

Birdbath is another good idea. Thanks! And I love those hypertufa pots and leaf sculpture birdbaths. Have always wanted to make one. I think so many of us accumulate items that we hope to turn into treasures someday. I just picked up a couple little things tonight at a Goodwill store. One was a metal tray, some wrapping paper with French sayings on it, and a tin container, almost like a place to put mail by a desk.....or who knows what it could be! I thought I could add some embellishments to it, etc., etc.
