Found this great piece, oak with veneer, red highlight looks original, dovetail drawers, 32 W x18 D x 64H. Is it 30's, 20's? I like it no matter what, but am curious. The back is stamped "No. 1355 China Brown Oak" Thanks for any insight!

I purchased most of my ironstone through ebay or local antique shops, but Home Goods is also a good source. If you won't be using them for serving, I've seen Goodwill finds spray painted with a coat of white paint too. I like Tuesday's suggestion of mixing white and green. I did this in my dining room hutch, mixing my antique white ironstone teacups and saucers with a few of my green milk glass pieces. Some of my ironstone: Foyer hutch: I sampled a larger display of ironstone here before paring it down: Green milk glass with ironstone in dining room hutch (I took the larger pitchers off the top of the hutch and used them in the foyer hutch instead): Not a great picture but inexpensive/sentimental dish set in the eat-in kitchen hutch (the green milk glass did not work well with the red hutch so I moved those pieces to the dining room): Not mine but a pretty inspiration photo:

Thank you, lukki, oakley, and caminnc. The link to the refinishing process is here: Painting details Don't want to hijack the post but maybe my mistakes will help OP avoid making the same. The main reason my painting process was so tedious was because I kept changing my mind about the type of finish I wanted (and the hutch is huge so each coat took forever). The final result ended up being a happy accident :-) I painted everything by hand until I decided to give up the color washing and use solid paint. Was so burned out by then that DH used his sprayer, I did the glazing (a wipe on with brushes/wipe off with damp rags and brushes, trial and error process) and then DH sprayed the poly finish. Wax removal and painting details are in the 1st post and the May 4th @ 00:31 posting. Even though I ended up using solid paint, the bleaching after using wax remover and acetone did help remove the last bits of furniture wax (paint won't adhere to wax, so prep is VERY important). If your piece has a poly finish and no wax, you can probably just clean it with TSP and prime before painting. I did this with my DD's dresser and it worked fine.

The Whitehaven comes in a split divide too - it is an uneven split and I'm not sure of the percentage. The inside of both the short and tall apron style is the same - deep. I just bought the grids and I like them because they raise the bottom up a bit. Here is a funny blog post about picking a sink: http://victoriaelizabethbarnes.com/apron-front-farmhouse-sink-options-decided-against-fireclay/ This is not to talk you out of fireclay - many people have fireclay sinks and love them. I went through many of the same decision making processes that the writer did.
