Many people like vintage-style interiors because they are light, airy and unfussy. For some, this look gives their home a touch of romance. And for others, it takes them back to a simpler place in time. With a vintage look you'll often see a combination of whites and off-whites (which provides that light and airy feel), but you can also incorporate pops of color into this style to create a look that is unexpected and personal to you.
Embarking on a bathroom remodel? Why not go for an Art Deco feel? Pair up pretty pastel tiles with black ones to create a sophisticated space.
Here, a vintage metal chair adds a pop of radiant red to this workspace. You can find vintage office chairs at your local thrift store or on eBay.
Add color and pattern to your space with an upholstered piece topped with a patchwork quilt and pillows.
One statement piece in a vibrant hue can add energy and interest to your vintage-style space. Think about how you can repurpose that great furniture find. Here, a hutch is used to house books.
Accessorize your vintage kitchen with colorful teapots, bowls and wares from the thrift store. In this space, a checkered tablecloth also adds to the accent colors.

If you've decided to paint your vintage space, look for colors that are soft and muted, such as this bluish gray.
A casual floral arrangement is a great way to quickly and easily add color to a space. Whether you're having a small lunch with friends or a large celebration, your guests will appreciate seeing fresh, colorful flowers.
I love vintage posters. Many are bursting with amazing color combinations that can really brighten up an entire room. Look for one large poster or arrange a group of smaller ones. You can find a large selection at Allposters.com.
Another fun, whimsical way to add color is with vintage wallpaper. You can also use contact paper or scrapbooking paper and apply several pieces to create a collage.
