When one of our camping friends died, his widow didn't want to quit camping, and since our son and her kids were such good friends, I suggested I would teach her how to tow her travel trailer. so, she got pretty adept at towing, so we'd go on short trips--us in our pickup & trailer, and she in her Station wagon & Trailer. Her youngest daughter sort of adopted me as her substitute father, so i treated her as good as her daddy did, or so i tried to do. (She still calls me Dad) We were up in northern Ohio on one trip, and upon seeing a sign for a campground, we pulled in, and as my wife stepped out of the truck, a beer can rolled out of the door opening! This wouldn't have been so bad, but the camp was a religious camp! And then, my semi-adopted daughter got out of the car behind us, driven by her mother (Not accompanied by a male!) and hollered:"Hey, Dad, is this where we are going to stay tonight?" Well, by this time, my wife had been talking to the man in charge, and when he heard Debbie say that, we got the "Bum's Rush!" I suppose he saw the beer can, too! A funny thing about that situation was--there was never any hanky-panky going on, but we'd kid about me and my 2 wives and all our kids, wherever we went! We all had gone to Westmoreland Mall one day to shop! I didn't want to do all that walking, so i went to an ice cream store, bought a big cone and went outside to eat it! i sat on a park bench, and began talking to an old guy there. And then, the 2 ladies and 4 kids came up, saying:"Dad, why didn't you buy ice cream for all of your kids?" The old guy gave me a funny look, got up, and walked away, fast! by: Rustyj

as your luck would have it i manage a semi & truck fleet for a huge landscape plant grower that ships from VA to TX and it's my job to know most major streets in every medium & large city from south VA to the MS/TX border LOL. i live in seminole co, near winter springs by the 417 :-) so i know almost all the streets here. i know your route sooo well i can even tell you what lane you need to be in, in and around the airport lol. love to get to meet you but i am still in the thick of our busy spring and am gone 17hrs a day :-( everybody always comes thru orlando during the only time of the yr i can't meet up LOL! your quickest route will be 528 East (get in the very far Right lane at the exit of OIA) to 417 North (these are toll roads you will need several $$ ea way) follow that all the way to the end which dumps you on I-4 East (really northbound) towards Daytona. follow that till it ends at I-95 and stay to the Left. if you want to email (ehld@cfl.rr.com) where you are staying i can tell you directions around daytona if you need them or send you my cell# in case you get lost. the days and times you are coming in will not have much rush traffic and honestly i LOVE 417/528 because there are not alot of people willing to pay (some tolls $1.75) for them so there is far less traffic than you would expect, except between 4-6pm mon-fri but it never sits like it does on I-4 around orlando (not where you are going to be on I-4 thou). it's been kinda warm, low 90's our summer is here so dress to be cool. spend the day at the pool or beach it's great beach weather right now! enjoy! ~ liz

How long are you staying? I hope you have a week. There's so much to see. SF is very expensive. We've been there several times, most recently this past October. We were fortunate to stay at the Westin St. Francis right on Union Square because my DH was presenting at a convention. Be prepared for costly meals too. As I recall there was an extra tax on our dinner bill to cover some ridiculous 'health care coverage.' As a Canadian that one will really annoy you. Not all places add the fee. This is from the link below: ......... "The next time you eat in a restaurant in San Francisco, take a closer look at the bill. You may see a new line item there, a "health" fee to cover employeesâ healthcare.... The rationale for this one is to cover the employersâ mandatory contribution to the CityâÂÂs "Healthy San Francisco" health-coverage system. The charge actually is levied on employers, but at least some restaurants are adding a few dollars or percentage points to each customerâÂÂs bill to cover this charge. The restaurantsâ excuse for assessing this charge separately is to let customers know how much theyâÂÂre paying for employeesâ health coverage. ThatâÂÂs the same excuse hotels use when they add "resort" or "housekeeping" fees to unsuspecting guestsâ room bills. ItâÂÂs the same excuse airlines would use to exclude fuel surcharges from their advertised fares if the Department of Transportation would allow them. And itâÂÂs sheer nonsense. Employeesâ health insurance is no less of a cost of doing business than rent, property taxes, food costs, security services and all the other inputs businesses require to operate. To single out health care for a separate surcharge is unwarranted." Here is a link that might be useful: another fee

Well we started the process... Been years truckloads to the dump but the carpet is gone no longer smells and nice neutral flooring. No idea of layout when we get furniture! Area rugs to cover flooring always seems crazy but needed as well.
