GE II - different packaging?

When I went to purchase more there were two made by GE.

The tube i purchased has GE II clear in top right

corner of the 'label'. Window/door/attic basement on white

part of label.

On blue background it says 'premium waterproof silicone.'

It says 3 hr rainready- sun/freeze proof won't crack or crumble.

Is this the same stuff?

The other tube said something that this one didn't , but can't remember now....

My tube is white. chartreuse and gold. It says "silicone II clear" on the top right hand side. Then "Premium Silicone Glue" in the chartreuse part and "waterproof and airtight - sun/freeze proof" in the gold part. This works for me.

I also have a large tube that you use with a gun but I haven't used it yet. It is a blue and gold tube and says it is for doors and windows.

Oh- I should have clarified, It is the big tube for the gun. And it is a white tube with gold and blue boxes with the wording on them and a picture of a curved top window on the left side of the tube. (1/2 of a window).

Oh no! I haven't had any that set up and dried to start melting...BUT..last week I had a tube that never would dry(it was GEII),so I had to clean up all these concrete mushroom caps and stems I made with the grandkids. I got another tube of GEII,and glued some,and noticed this tube was bad,too. Both tubes were cloudier than usual. I wasn't going to clean that mess up again,so I threw all the concrete away. I got some more silicone at walmart,and glued some things with it,and it worked. My things are out in the hot sun,it gets really hot here in South Mississippi,mid 90s and higher with heat index. So maybe we just got some bad silicone?? So now I have to make more mushrooms,and tell the kids "yes,baby this is the one YOU made:) " and let them paint them up!

I have the GE Cafe Gas Range and have been only using it for about 2 weeks now. I really love it. I use Magic Stainless Steel Spray when I am done cooking and my top stays so nice. But then again, I have had the range for only a short time. I also love the recirculating fan hood Zephyr that I bought that really takes out the odors and so far it is nice for not be venting. I know a few others with GE ranges that owned them for many years and are happy so If felt comfortable getting a GE Range knowing each appliance had their bad and good points. But just in case there was a problem, I added the 5 year extended warranty so I would have my range fixed right away. My second choice was the NXR but it did not have self-cleaning and I decided that was a feature I did not want to be without even if I only use it a few times a year.

GE Profile or GE Monogram dilemma; please help!

Some Monogram products such as ranges and fridges are completely different from the Profile line - some like MWs are just better looking. Also, Monogram provides better warranty service. I'd stay away from a Sears extended warranty - you'll likely be locked into using A&E for service. You don't need to go with a single brand, however. Most of us mix and match. Do your research and get the best brand of each product that meets your needs. No need to get a complete package from one brand.

Thank you for clarifying what the GE Silcon 11 tube looks like. I had just put it on my shopping list. I am an Alaskan Master Gardener who just read an article about Glass Totems in todays newsletter. I'd never heard of them. I'm also a budding Mosaic artist who recently bought 8 bowling balls to mosaic for yard art. Great winter projects to try for the first time! Weldbond was recommended for the balls, would it be better to use the Silicon 11 for that project as well or is it only because of the clear drying glue? I've never joined a forum before. A lot of firsts in one evening. I look forward to this opportunity. Thanks again!

Yes- they changed their labeling. It took me a while to figure out which one to use, too!
