That's awesome, nicole! Let's see. Hubby's birthday is this week and I scored a free room for two nights at Harvey's South Lake Tahoe with a view of the lake. I can't really take credit though. I get this free offer twice a year ever since I signed up for their rewards program. I always take them up on the offer if we're not busy with something else and we always have a great time. Other than that, our local market sent out some great coupons a month or so ago. Each week a different coupon is valid and then expires at the end of the week. For the life of me, I haven't been able to remember to use those darn coupons until finally last week. Got a 12 pack of toilet paper for free! Also, I've been working on a new flower bed and needed some sort of border to hold the soil back. After looking at what's available at the nurseries and DIY stores and seeing nothing that appealed to me, I went down the road and gathered all the boulders I wanted for free to use as my border. On a roll here (no pun intended)!

mama....it has flip potential, buuuuut......DH is in love with the 700 sq ft shop.....with radiant heat flooring, 16' high ceilings and dormer windows. :0) I've agreed to live here 2 years, then we'll see. :0) Plywood flooring has always been around. They used to paint it like a throw rug. I like my subfloor to be protected. I've gotton deals on porcelain tile at Lowes for .10cents a sq ft(discontinued stock). I'd do a poor tiling job with no hardibacker before I'd leave a floor plywood. If you wear out or wear down the subfloor, there's nothing left. If you spend the money on another layer of plywood, then you can afford these flooring options. JMO my .10cent deal I did a tub surround, hallway & floors in 2 bathrooms Or....hickory laminate. .89cents a sq ft. Lumber Liquidators. Should be available in a store near you... Your boyz & Aimees boyfriend could maybe be recruited to install it with you over seeing it. All you need is a hand saw and hammer for the laminate flooring install.

These are the best threads! I have a new product to recommend. I had been looking more closely at ingredients in my toiletries and beauty products. Decided to buy a particular shampoo (can't recall the brand now!) that had no parabens, sulfates, etc etc... but what it did have was some ingredient that did not agree with my skin. So then I decided to order Beauty Counter shampoo and conditioner. My hair is fine but tends to get frizzy on the ends, which is not a good look as I am growing it out. Well, I have now used the BC products twice and I hardly recognize my hair! It just looks so much healthier. I also bought BC lip gloss which is less exciting but I like it well enough. I should have gotten a slightly darker color.
