I am resurecting this post from spring 2011, because I posted on it about my search for Symphony. Talk about rose lust, Symphony has been at the top of my wish list for a decade at least. And now my search is over. Rogue Valley Roses has been shipping to Canada for several years and they list this rose. But they have never stocked it over the past two years, til now. They restocked it a week or two ago. Yesterday I ordered two plants for April delivery. Now as long as the shipping and the border go well, Symphony will appear in my Canadian garden next year. When I first joined the forum about a decade ago, someone used to post the tag line "Happy, happy rose dance" or HHRD when they acquired rare treasures that made them happy. I do believe that this is an occasion to resurect the concept of HHRD, I'm doing the HHRD now and will certainly be doing another when these plants arrive in spring. Symphony will join my collection of lemon coloured roses that whiten at the edges, a colour pattern I adore. I have Crocus Rose. I think it is its 4th year now. It really had a bunch of flowers this year. It has taken at least 3 years to get going. This rose is mostly a cream color with some yellow in it. Mine is right about 4 ft in height and about 3.5 ft wide. It needs spraying attention regularly because it will blackspot badly if you ignore it. The foliage on mine is rather small in spite of its diet. The flowers are not as big as I would like, but they do smell good despite not being strongly scented, and they do have some lasting power. This rose was one of the few in my garden that was as good as untouched by the horrendous Easter freeze we had last year. It just seemed to pick itself up and get going. It bloomed reasonably well last year and has gotten off to a better start this year. At first I thought it might be a tossable, but since it is now doing better I will keep this one. It now outblooms some of my other roses.

Well the route was just published. The shortest, most direct route isn’t being used so they won’t be passing our house. We’ll jump in the golf cart to go a block over. Which means I have to put on shoes. (The team is really in town for tomorrow’s Gasparilla parade.)

We installed Symphony's Alto about 2 yrs ago. Love it. Durability is excellent. No fading, no maintenance needed. Because it's a printed quartz that doesn't go all the way through the stone, how the edges around the sink look likely depends on the style/pattern. You cannnot notice that the veining doesn't go though the entire width of the stone around our sink (photos above)
