Oh yeah, I was gonna say bird house....here's what my MIL has on the outside of her big red barn..birdhouse boot Or I use a pair of old rubber boots by my front door. Sometimes they are empty and sometimes I put fake flowers in them for seasonal arrangements. Hope this helps. Love, Jules

It's been raining so I couldn't repair the other vent boot but I did climb on the roof and just slide the new Oatey over the old one. Since the flashing (new and old) has a raised aluminum hood below the rubber, there is no way that water can rise to the level of the damaged rubber. And there has been no leak during the heavy rain so it will serve for now, until I come up with something that won't move in a strong wind. The older, knowledgable guys at Home Depot don't usually steer me wrong, but it sure happened this time. The no-hub coupling is an interesting idea. Thanks everyone - now I know there are a number of feasible alternatives.

That is a great vase! I have my Grandmother's shoes like that, but they are not in as good shape as yours. I wanted to see it larger but the thumbnail won't work today....

Addiesue, I am planning on gog windows for it!!! I could even cut the glass to be domed-like cathedral looking!!! Oh, maybe a person sitting at the window(shadow), so it looks like the old lady looking out in the evening!!! This could have all kinds of possibilities...a covered porch at the front door, a chimney on the roof, a little yard with garden art....oh, maybe a bottle tree in the yard!!!lol! A tree with a swing...hmmm, gotta find a little tricycle!!!lol! I have a little red wagon!!! Oh...this could be good...Real good!!!!!heh heh! Sheesh, and Humpty isn't even finished yet, his front is done mostly, and will have to turn him upside down to do his bottom, then mosaic him, and I have the base for his wall poured...but haven't done the bricks yet...it's sooo hot here and I am helterscelter all over the yard trying to do stuff that is in the shade!!!ha! I've decided that I Gotta do the Chihuahua as a GOG!!! DD is here(he's actually her dog, that gramma got stuck raising!lol)recuperating from a tooth extraction, and she Loved the idea of a GOG in a light up box or cabinet.
