Sorry this photo is so dark. How do you like my bright little yellow "vases"? LOL They're little, tiny yellow boots that I bought at the thrift store. Inside are two empty medicine bottles holding water.

Wish I had kept some of my kids/grandkids' boots, they would mean more to me. Helpful hint for some of you T2T moms/grandmas who would like an excuse to keep those sweet little boots! LOL

Ohhh, I think your little boot vases are just grand Des. I'll have to be checking our local TS for some of those.

That's one thing I can't seem to find! Yours look so cute!I may break down and buy a pair at Walmart that were about 8 dollars.

Interestingly, year after year in Michigan we get one big fluctuation with high temperatures for a few days in April, usually early April (we get the same thing in early October with first frost killing the tomatoes). It is almost certainly due to the jetstream moving from its winter to its summer positions (the jetstream is usually right over Michigan), and oscillating before settling. It is not necessarily a good thing because two days at 80+ set a lot of things in motion, then it becomes cold again. This year that fluctuation is not forecast until late April at the earliest, and it may not happen at all. There is a silver lining in continuing 40-55 (high) and 25-45 (low).

Hi Dot, Love in a Mist is an annual that reseeds and I just love it. It's so airy and delicate that any sprouts that you don't want, they pull so very easily. I usually just let them grow at will. They are Nigella. You can search on either. I'd post some more pics showing the beautiful seed pods, but my other computer is dead and until I get it fixed my last year photos and before are also dead. Send me an email, please.. i would plant it in the gound, and mulch it so it is protected. you want to intoduce the cold temps to it, so it can become used to it

I picked up a pair of yellow kids boots for the grandkids to wear when they come over I figure when the last one wears them I get to make flower containers out of them .I keep getting new grandsons so I guess Ill look for another pair!{{!gwi}}
