You might want to try and find the local Christmas tree farmers there in your area and see if you can buy bulk - either whole trees or branch trimmings. Sometimes they will sell these and maybe trees that are too stunted, misshapen, or otherwise unfit for a Xmas tree on the open market. That way you can make your own with a wreath form and some paddle wire from a florist supply house. I used to do that all the time - I'd go to the farmer's markets and buy up all the junk and use it to make wreaths, garlands, swags, and the like. You could make one.Craft stores have the santa heads all kinds some really beautiful.Thats how I got into making them I saw a beautiful dried flower wreath about 20 years ago.I looked at form saw the basics went home and made it.Now alot of wreaths I have hanging people rave over how beautiful they are.Its fun to play around till you get what you want .I made one with small ice skates,sled,lights,snowballs,and a word Let it snow.....My daughter made one then she liked mine so much.I cant post photo ,dont know how or I would.Just try yours may be prettier.Wouldnt cost 60 either.

I made three swags this weekend from willow that I collected on my MIL's property :) but I'm no good at all making wreaths without forms... and yah, those twig wreaths are awful expensive for something made out of sticks! you might check for a florist supply shop, a 'franks' garden center (they're going out of business, but the deals aren't much yet- their halloween stuff is only 60% off, and most stores are selling it at 75% + off!) there might even be a farm market near you that may have locally produced wreaths? maybe?

IMO...there's no real answer to your question. I've had fresh evergreens last up to a month and some that dropped their needles and left town after a few days. It depends on who makes them, how they were made and the temperature under which they will be kept. If the atmospheric temps remain relatively low...it will contribute to a longer life. If it's hung outside...or in an area that will get outside chilly temps...it could last a month or more. I've had outdoor wreaths last beyond a month when the temps averaged below freezing. For inside displays...the important thing is to keep the cut branches in water. Displays are usually set into a foam base that retains water but it should be checked often. If the greenery stems were cut correctly by the creator...making sure the cut is clean and immediately immersed in water...the display should last at least a week to ten days. Maybe longer if the inside temps are moderately low. If your contemplating these decorative items from L.L.Bean...as I am...discuss your concerns with their order department. They're wonderful people and always eager to help with the success of their evergreen products. I've never been disappointed with their creations. But I'm in no position to guarantee them either because I don't supervise their creation.
