Here I go again...

My DH and I have been married 3 1/2 years now. Five days after we got married, his oldest son suddenly died. I was an outsider as his family and ex-wife (and her family) needed to be close during the intense greiving process. I have never felt the same closeness to my DH since his son's death, although we have a good marriage.

Last week, My DH's father passed away. Once again, I feel like the outsider. Every horrible thought and feeling I had 3 1/2 years ago has resurfaced with a vengence. I truly want to "disengage" from the entire family and let them handle the grieving process without me.

My DH and his siblings need to disburse their father's estate. My sister-in-law and brother-in-law are included in the process. The family doesn't want me involved. That's fine with me - although my feeling are hurt. I guess it validates the feeling of being an outsider. So, do I sound horrible that I don't want to talk or hear about it from my DH (at least right now)?

Please don't tell me to be supportive - I know that. I'm just here to vent about my own feelings. I've been going thru the normal (and abnormal) blending process, which everyone knows is a challenging process. These two deaths are just more than what I expected to have to cope with.
