My son had some boat bottom paint so I picked the blue and green and went with that. Time will tell if it holds up. I have a large spindle that I could use, if I widdle on the end to fit in the plug hole. As suggested a piece of pipe would work too. I like the idea of the table, that would look better in the open spot I want to put this. I could change the place and set it among the tall flowers if I use a pipe.

thank you! after searching on line I found a site with some info on doing these, we used three colors of spray paint a deep purple, silver and black, hubby sprayed lite coats over most of the mirror of each color, we went from dark to lite but wonder if doing lite to dark would have been better, you need to apply the acetone quickly as it dries quick and use a large amount of it then comes the fun set on fire be very careful, and do out doors as the flames get pretty high, remove acetone from your work area first as it is very flammable, let it burn out , you can add more acetone and redo steps till you like what you get, fun but kinda scary, if you make one please post photo. Slow, Great idea about the sconces, I will think on it. Actually I already had, but I don't dare tell or ask hubby @ this point to start changing things. You have to understand we just finished building our home. And I mean US! We built our home! With our own 4 hands. We did have a couple of friends and family help, when they could. But mostly US. From the gound UP! Every single inch of it. We paid for it out of pocket, and we built it and owe not one dime to anyone, @ this point. But it was a long 4 years and we still have lots to do. We have a beautiful home but we still have, landscaping, siding and lots of odds and ends, still undone. I guess that why I'm working so hard now to try and put our living areas in order. What I mean by order is a little more organized and together. A women===not necessarily a friend===told me last summer and I quote " Oh , Your style is so very rustic, sort of electic, but with a Classy Elegance" unquote....she thought she was offending me because she didn't like it!!! (not her style) Well-- the joke was on her because I just laughed!!! And said well DAMN girl you really get me!!(Can't stand the women) But she will never know that she was actually right!!! I had This end Up furniture too !! We bought it in Chapel Hill NC in 1977. We got the sofa and 2 chairs and the footstool and coffee table and end table. We then added a set of bunk beds and the chest of drawers in 1979. It has had 3 different covers on the furniture. My middle son still has the chairs/sofa/coffee table and end table. They are as good as they were when they were new. We sold the bunk beds and chest in 2000. You did a great job on the mirror !! c
