Yes! We just did this! :) We have the Kohler Cape Dory, which is huge (30"). It is very heavy, but we mounted it in the cabinet using the metal mounting hardware that was included, and it just hangs out there and seems perfectly stable. The hardware latches over the edge of the cabinet box. Our cabinetmaker wanted to build a shelf for it to sit on, which is listed as an alternate way of installing it, but the boy wanted to have the option of removing it to replace it if need be, which the Kohler hardware allows you to do. It also allows you to adjust the height of the sink up and down a bit, which was important for installing the counter---with the shelf, we would have had to move the entire shelf to do that. The only really big issue we had was that the sink is heavy and when we were moving it, it slipped and took a chunk of enamel off the front edge of our vintage stove, which made me want to cry. But as my husband points out, if that's the biggest crisis of the remodel, it's not exactly the end of the world... I love how big and beautiful the sink is, though! The Cape Dory has an accessory cutting board that we also got and it sits on one side of it to add extra counter/cutting space, which is pretty cool. HTH!

If you end up going with this sink, notice that it has a decorative reveal and you can either have it show or not, it is sort of a waterfall edge. I have it revealed just a little on ours. It has a nice very slight curve to the back you can see in this picture. This sink weighs about 120 lbs. Be sure they support it with wood supports underneath so it won't pull away from the granite. Our installers did that but did a poor job and so my engineer husband went in and did them all over again. He usually re-does everything contractors do, lol. HTH.

I was really concerned about how it would look too. Kitchen isn't done but this gives you an idea. I'm very happy with it. FWIW I got a Kraus faucet with the filtered water dispenser integrated in the faucet and I LOVE IT.

Any of those will work, if they have experience with building a cast iron cradle. But if the stine folks wont do this, the tops need to come off, and the sink installed, BEFORE the counter is templated. Otherwise the cut risks being off.
