OK, Kathy - it's your fault -almost. Several years ago, a friend in the biz (travel biz, that is) and I took off for a late March weekend to Galveston. We had the cutest little bomb of a car - a Misubishi Eclipse rag-top. We swore we would keep the top down, no matter if we had to wear coats and keep the heat on - we didn't have to.... so, the part that is your fault: the flowers in the swards of the freeways!!!! omg, they were amazing. I was driving(barely), so no pics, but the bluebonnets, wow; there were others that I couldn't identify, it might have been the distance, or the speed. How beautiful they were - I remembered at the time that Lady Bird had started the effort - how cool that your Dad was involved!!! What was the orange?

I had a couple of pink flamingos in my yard for awhile. I named them 'Tongue' and 'Cheek'. They finally died. I think of,embarrassment.

OK, Dean (my fellow Washington Olympic Peninsula former-resident) and Deanna (another Pacific Northwesterner), I know of a place online where you can learn all about the questions of "quotation punctuation." It must feel good to work within your small community and town and share with others. You seem to have really found your niche in these retirement years. hey Donna, I know your hurting. As Ken suggested I hope maybe somehow this was the other male and not the pop....but none the less it is a BB loss and always hard. I wont get any popularity votes here for my next statement BUT. This is NOT the cats fault, I understand 100% why you dont want to send it to a kill animal shelter. I had 2 drop off stray last fall killing some birds around my feeders...I took care of that alright...they will never kill my birds again! They will just sit in my lap and purr for the rest of their lives and never step foot outside again. I know not everybody can do that. Sometimes as hard as it seems a ferill cat is better being put down than suffering from disease, attacks from the wild Coyotes and such and cars. That cat could be responsible for many more bird killing cats soon. There are many places that will capture spay/neture and release these cats. i have heard non breeing cats are less likley to hunt for sport than in tact cats, not sure if thats true. Anyway thanks for caring about the cat too. Let me know if I can help get that cat to a shelter or foster home. Good luck on another nesting!
