Hello Friends ~ Well..I guess I would be considered an 'oldie' and I too remember the days of Spike! I believe it is beneficial for a member, any member, to occasionally remind everyone of the rules (and 'yes' they are the rules of Garden Web) to keep some semblance of order! If a member is unsure of where to post a topic, just ask! We are all here to help and learn from one another. Also, if you notice your post has been moved from one side of the board to the other, do not take offence rather look upon it as a favor from a fellow Junker! While I do not want to revisit previous situations, I believe that Wired's post regarding two members needs to be clarified. I cannot address the member 'Brenda' as I do not remember her nor that situation but I do recall the member named 'Connie' and too insinuate that members were "Jealous" and "Ran her off" is to misstate the situation. Connie did indeed have some great Junk and was a creative person as Wired states but she began posting pictures of her interior design skills, which would have been appropriate on the Conversations side of the board but she insisted on posting them on the Discussions side. The more members tried to help her understand this error and ask her to move her postings, the nastier she and the situation became! Unfortunately, it culminated in her leaving on less then favorable terms. I come here, not as often as I would like to as of late, to learn from other members creativity and experience. I believe both sides of our board have merit. Bmore, now, that is one COOL looking area! That's bringing the kitchen all the way across the house! But, It's COOL! Do I want that much kitchen? Well, maybe! I think our posts crossed before I saw your design. What a surprise. The kids would essentially have their own kitchen! What do you all think about that much? Half my house would be kitchen. One of my kids commented not too long ago that they thought it would be cool to have an island kind of in a piano shape! They even drew it out. Rhome, I like this! A couple of questions.... What is in front of the pantry? Is that a sink, and did you move the pantry door to the side? The lower part on the island...for rolling? Maybe a marble section? or for the kids? The dotted lines in the island, is there a raised bar area? Is that a proposed kids table at the end of the freezer wall, and what is the area behind that wall? Storage? Bookcases? Something to keep kids art supplies? Cookbooks. You know, I have a spare bedroom that I intended to make their play room, but they never seem to go there, they are always in the kitchen underfoot, that's why the idea of kids area came to mind. With maybe a combination of my personal books and cookbooks. So glad to have these to contemplate. I'll be showing DH first thing in the morning. He's already asleep. Oh wait, maybe I'll wake him up! It looks like something has decided your tree is a tasty snack. I don't have experience with this type of damage or pest but something I use when I treat with Neem/HO or occasionally when I folier feed my trees is Dyna-Gro's Pro-teKt, It says that it helps with building stronger cell walls in the plant and helps boost its resistance to pests and fungal infections. I have no idea how well it actually works if at all but I use it as my emulsifier instead of soap with the Neem/HO and my leaves seem like they are doing well enough. I have old pest damage from when the trees were purchased but nothing new since then.
