New to Board ~ Looking for advice/book

Hi, I'm new to the board and hoping to get some advice or get a few book recommendations.

My story is that I have an 11yo son and I moved to America from the UK 4 years ago to live with my new hiusband and his son now 15, who lived with us.

The situtation became unbearable. My husband and stepson were angry and emotionally abusive. They had no relationship and both resented my son and my relationship. I ended the marriage a year ago and my son and I have moved on. My son had anger issues at first but we have worked hard to deal with those learnt behaviors and now he is back to the carefree, happy, gentle kind boy he always is.

Unfortunately he is getting into trouble at school. His teaher has said that his behavior isn't malicious just thoughtless. Mostly talking innapropriately and always doing things to get laughs from the other kids. He's also taken on the role of enforcer for the smaller kids, he's very tall for his age. But this is going to get him into a lot of trouble. He pushed a kid over on the way home last week because he picked on his friend. He also took a hoodie from another boy who they thought had stolen it from his other friend. Turned out it was the boys hoodie and not his friends. Obviously the boy was upset and frightened by this.

I really am at my wits end. I don't want him to keep getting involved in minor incidents that in the school's eyes are mounting up to a problem. He's in th grade and if he doesn't sort this out soon he'll be on a path I don't want him to be on. He's such a kind kid that he has no need to get involved in these behaviors.

I don't really know what to ask but I would welcome any advice.
