I have to call a time out

And echo Kathline's high school question. There is nothing wrong with a debate. There is nothing wrong with a heated debate. There is usually nothing wrong with being pointed in one's comments. BUT . . . it really seems in the past couple days things have gotten a little out of hand and there has been more concentration on nasty jabs and intentional ugliness then there has been on the issue at hand. Each recent post has started with someone asking for help or needing to vent and turned into WWIII on something completely unrelated.

We all know there are different "sides" to this forum. It makes it difficult, it makes it interesting, and it keeps it real. TOS and KKNY, it is often questioned why you seem to only want to drag down those who haven't walked in your shoes and I have felt it myself. I can't answer that question, but I respect your right to be here. I also suspect you get a certain amount of satisfaction from pi$$ing off GF's and SM's here because you can't pi$$ on the ones you would really like to, but that's here nor there. :-)

I think what we all need to keep in mind is that we aren't here to change people. We can't make TOS let go of her ex, erase Ima's past, have Cawfe take an out of the home job, KKNY fire her au pair, etc. It's not our job to tell any one they are living their life wrong - it's their life. The most we can hope to do is give an understanding ear, a different perspective, or some 'been there, done that' advice. We all our who we are, and we are all different. Let's not lump, stereotype or assume.

Can we put down the gloves now? My hands are tired.
