WIP pics ... plus funny suff

I adore clydesdales.... here's the pic I'm using :

Here's my WIP so far . I enlarged the pic on my printer - thought I'd cheat & get all the shading and glue it to my backing . Wrong ! Didn't happen .I got the outline but hardly any shading. So I spray glued the pic in the frame & worked from that. I had to use my imagination alot ! Here it is so far :

I want to get most of this done by the weekend ...I'm having a Hysterectomy on Tuesday & I'm not sure whether I'll be able to bend over to work on it..

I have been laughing and swearing the last couple hours while doing this. I wanted some gold balls as fancy decorations on the harness. All I had were gold "Magnetic" beads. ( Bought for a project I never did ) so I used them on here. Those damn things had a mind of their own .I'd get them placed down in the glue and suddenly they'd repel each other and move. I'd look away - look back and they got all wonky by themselves. I tried to turn them so the holes wouldn't be on top . Nope -- they just stuck to each other any way they wanted. I even had one *travel* an inch away to another bead ! It was like I had ghosts helping me ! LOLOLL

I can't wait to get this surgery done so I can get back to normal. I have ton more Clydesdales mosiacs planned - but absolutely no more magnetic beads !!! LOL

Oh Kathy!!! That is AWESOME!!! I had a hysterectomy almost 2yrs ago, and was recommended a website called hystersisters and it is super good! I was so amazed how helpful it was!!! Anyhoo, love how this is looking, and how super fast you are!

:P. Guess I'm being superstitious. Seems like every time I get excited about an idea something / someone comes along and it becomes no longer workable / desirable / whatever. So anyhow, Saturday am Hubby was showing me the new window trim and I realized that the white that he's been looking for is the white of our trim that we both love. It looks amazing against the purple. Mind churned. I remembered that there's people out there with plain painted backsplash areas and some with beadboard backsplashes. Bingo: Let's do a painted wood backsplash. Not beadboard (too busy) but hardwood, routed to match our cabinet doors, painted the white that we love, probably with a few simple embellishments. Simple, inexpensive, customizable. I plan to do something really special / fancy for behind the stove (maybe interchangable somethings). If we get tired of it and/or do eventually find that perfect tile (perhaps in a few years when we have the budget for something more fancy), it'll be easy to replace or change.

Shee, I have found that my kids really like the music and movement with mobiles. We've had the same Tiny Love mobile for the last 10 years, and all 5 kids have loved it! In fact, when I want to put the baby down upstairs, that is one of the only times I use the crib. The mobile keeps 'em happy for a little bit! However, it looks like they no longer make the one we got in 2002 and the new version is not as nice, so maybe there is something better. I am not sure why so many of them do NOT have high contrast (ours does). Weird. My friend gave us a mobile for the car seat (Take-Along by Tiny Love). Not something I would have bought, but my 10 week old is entranced by it. If she is fussy when I get her in the seat, the music and movement makes her stop! I was amazed watching her today, with her watching the mobile. This may be something you put on your registry if you are doing that. Not a need, but it's nice. Suggestions - cutting mosaic pieces

Welcome sawdust!!!!! A lot of of use wheeled nippers to cut our pieces into random shapes and you can get a tumbler to soften the edges or use a glass jar filled with glass and a water (water covering the glass) and shake shake shake for quite a while and it will soften your edges to use on a able. I do use the morton grid system to get more precise cut pieces (and my grinder!!!!) You can order more blades for your toyo. There are a lot of people who have done table tops Im sure you will get quite a few pictures to see after everyone starts reading your post. Sorry if I didnt answer everything or seem short but Im on my way out the door and popped in to look real quick. Anything I might not have answered the others will definitely cover!!!!! You will have soooo much fun being here!!!!! Welcome again!!! Oh and everything I have mentioned is available on line or at your local stained glass store!!!

TMG Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, and since you can't do an exact it will be your interpretation of the original. I've no doubt the artist would be glad to help you get out of your slump, and love to see the finished product. Besides we have all seen things in others work that inspires us to try. Well if you don't beat all. Girlie, this is truly magnificent. GEESH - you're talented. No way could I do that, and my DD wants me to make a mosaic of a horse of which she took a picture when she was a Road Nurse here. I don't know where to start. I sooooooo love what you've done already, and w/follow w/interest. You made ME LOL at your description of the beads. GO Girl. When I had that surgery done, it wasn't so bad that I couldn't do hand work. You'll do fine.

amazing!!!!! This is really going to be amazing. Had a hysterectomy a few years back, didn't keep me down long. And as if that didn't remove enough womanhood I then had to have a double mastectomy. Just a little less weight to carry around!! You'll do fine.((((((HUGS)))))))

Thanks everyone ! I'm hoping this uterus weighs about 30 pounds so I can blame that for all my excess weight ~~LOL

This is going to be fantastic! And WOW you are so very talented. I love watching your progress and that is way too funny about the magnetic beads! It is if they were trying to tell you something.

Prayers and best wishes for a successful surgery that doesn't keep you down for very long...we are impatient to see more!

My hubby moved a bed that Klinger gave me(sits up like a hospital bed), out to the living room so I could watch tv and be around people(I had slaves!lol!) Plus I was right by the window and could watch the birds. Just don't try to do too much too soon. I also bought a belly band and it Really helped. Anyhoo, I am so enjoying this horse! You are doing him proud!!!
