What color laminate with antique white cabinets?

Because of budget I have decided to go with either wilsonart, or formica laminate countertops but am unsure of the color I want to go with. I am putting in dark hardwood floors and considering a greenish blue wallcolor. Any ideas on what color laminate will pop with the antique white cabinets?

I am currently considering wilsonart soapstone on our perimeter with creamy cabinets. We will have hardwood as well but medium brown color and our backsplash will be off-white subway. I thought I would mention it since it is such a classic look. I just can't remember who on here has them..... someone who posted pics not very long ago and it looked lovely!

look at the gallerys on the formica and wilsonart websites and see if they have any paired w/ that type of cabinet.

I found that many that i like on screen, i didn't like in person. order samples from them. they will send large samples (4x7?). one charges a 1.00 for the larger ones - no big deal to me, I ordered several. worth it to see in person.

wilsonart you can order samples on their site. formica I called their 800 #. not sure now if they didn't have sample order on site or i just couldn't get it to work...
If one you like comes in different finishes, order both/all to compare. they have some really nice laminates out now.

Also, google the one(s) you like by name (like 'formica butterum') and see what comes up. I found a good number of pics out there of my choice to look at and see how it looks in different kitchens. may even be one on this site.

saves a lot of money and then in a few yrs if you tire of it, you can redo them. harder to do if you've put a small fortune into granite.

I have a soft blue for my dining room ceiling, but I'm not going to do it for every room. First I am having a hard enough time picking paint for the walls of a 2500 sq ft home. The home is very open so I want the colors to blend. Adding in different ceiling colors on top of the various walls would be way more work than I'm prepared for at this point. Second I think the blue ceiling in the dining room will be a "pop" of interest. It will really make an impression. If every ceiling was painted it would get old and overwhelming rather than fresh and interesting. So White ceiling or antique White ceiling?

I love Conestoga cabinets and have used them a few times. The lighting isn't the greatest with these photos so I did a few in different rooms (have two bedrooms and one bath in this combo) the walls are SW Antique white, molding SW Dover White and the ceiling is Behr 1873 Off White in flat. Full light Dark Corner If you don't like the Off White the Dover works. I just don't personally like white white ceilings so picked this combo.

You have a beautiful kitchen. Rather than painting the back of your cabinets, accessorize them with colorful plates and appliances. Something that you can change as your taste changes. At the most I suggest that you cut out foam core sheets to the size of the back of your shelves and wall paper or paint them. See how they look. Again, Change them out as you desire. But I would not touch the surface of your laminate cabinets or shelves.

Those white tiles are definitely too white for your cabinets. There are tons of tile options out there -- keep looking until you find the right warm white one. Given your two types of counters I would stick to a simple backsplash -- I don't think the mosaic will work well.

How deep will the wall color be? I first thought of something like the Formica Basalt Slate, but don't know if you'll like dark with such dark floors? What's your vision for the room in terms of contrast and light vs dark? What style and personality are you envisioning?

I think the Wilsonart soapstone would look really nice and classic. It seems a little darker on a whole counter than on the chip, but is very pretty. I will be putting it in my laundry room, also with cream cabinets.

I also like the Basalt Slate, but is really dark. Also, because it is matte, when I had a sample in the kitchen and got grease on it, you could really see a shiny spot. Maybe on a larger surface it wouldn't be as noticeable.

Hope you put pics up of whatever you choose, it sounds nice.

So many choices, I think whatever you choose
will look really nice.

I like the idea of grey soapstone colors. But
tans and browns would be fine too.

I am planning on using 'Pearl Soapstone" (honed). It is a lighter gray than the pics above.
