Thanks for the help everyone. I will definitely have to pick up a new book to help with ids. I have one book that I got specifically because it showed large pictures of the eggs, caterpillars, pupae, and adult butterflies, plus pictures of the host plants. Problem is it only covered about 25 of the most common or showy species. Other book's I have are older and the pictures are all small, dark, or faded. I thought that website would be perfect because I could just look at the checklist for my county. But, apparently it is not that complete if in one day I had four in my yard that were not shown on the list for my county. I had thought maybe my ids were just wrong and that is why they weren't listed. When I changed it to show all skippers of North America in thumbnail pics....there were too many and I still couldn't figure it out :) Is the Audubon book pretty much everyone's favorite? I see it has way more pages than most of the other guides. I know Peterson guides are popular too. Sometimes with bird guides I find the ones with illustrations instead of photos are more helpful because they highlight the unique markings better. I would really like one that shows all the stages and covers host plants too. Maybe I will just have to get a few different books, they are pretty cheap if used :) Thanks again.

FREE Web sites for genealogy research: rootsweb.ancestry.com--forums organized by surname, locality, and other topics such as royal ancestry, etc., originally not affiliated with ancestry, but it is STILL free, and has archived posts going back to the 1990s. usgenweb.org subdivides by states and counties, also message boards where inquiries can be posted. genealogy.com has free surname and locality forums. familysearch.org contains the LDS church's International Genealogy Index, formerly only available on microfiche at branch Family History Libraries. cyndislist.com has a wealth of websites/links on many, many genealogy subjects. Treasure Maps website: google the name to get the right address, because it's one of those sub-sub-sub-divided ones that I'll probably screw up. Also, google the surname, and/or an entire name, alone or combined with terms like "family" and genealogy. If it's a name other than Smith or Jones, misspell it in creative ways. My great-grandfather's surname (Braman) was misspelled on the census as late as the 1930s! As far as Ancestry goes, I subscribe to the United States option, almost solely because of access to scanned images of the US Census. Looking at microfilm using a viewer left me dizzy and nauseated:b. You can search or browse the records, and enlarge the image to decipher handwriting. To me, it is worth the price, but that's a personal decision. Other than that, I have found some useful info in the paid databases, but not a whole lot. All Censuses are available at the regional branches of the National Archives, on microfilm. Sorry this is so lengthy, but this IS the heavily edited version, LOL.

Beautiful group, I'm glad you won out over Houzz :) Wispy Rays is my favorite of these. I'm kind of in the same boat as you - too many blooming now to get photos of everything, plus trying to get pics of my seedlings and label them with a number to correspond to the pictures, and trying to avoid all the heat. I don't think I'm doing a very good job of tracking my FFO dates this year now. It was cooler today, but we had a couple of brief showers - not enough rain to help (less than a tenth of an inch) - just enough to ruin most blooms for picture taking. I look forward to seeing more of your pictures soon!
