Busy is right, some of the same things are going on here too, although not as much as in your yard. I think I have learned something from the Monarch Butterflies, took me a bit to get it though. I too thought how odd it was that we hadn't seen any yet. Well last week with that cold snap, the Monarchs surely wouldn't have made it, they know something we don't I think. Monarchs need it to be 60 degrees to fly and it certainly wasn't that warm last weekend. Saw the first Monarch this year in central WI on June 11th, second one yesterday and I now have one Monarch egg in the house. They are way way late this year but I think they somehow knew the weather wasn't going to be nice until now. Usually we see them the end of May. Donna

Maybe sell it during the winter so folks won't hang around outside very long. Also - if you have a rainy season maybe sell it then so if folks are looking they would not stay outside long or would hear the rain and maybe not notice the traffic as much (though when cars drive through wet streets after it rains, it could be more noisy). Also note some folks like busy streets. They like the activity. One positive note - you get more drive-by traffic to see your sign. There are many homes on busy streets all across the USA that sell every day. Maybe the place is subject to future office or restaurant zoning - which could make it be very desirable. Often busy streets get rezoned and over the years offices and such eventually convert all the former homes. An insurance firm, for example, would love to be on a busy street so they could benefit from drive-by traffic.

Can you post a photo? Also, if you have samples of the counters you are considering, can you show those next to the floor? FWIW, in general it can be hard to match anything completely, and often an attempt that is a near miss looks worse than a contrast. Also, sounds Iike you don’t love the floor tiles, so why not go for a counter you love which could complement the floor? Also, one idea in design is to have a focus point and have the other be quiet. So if the floor gets a lot of attention, you might want to balance it with a counter that is quiet. BTW, if you don’t really love the vein-y floor tiles, one option is to go with a “quieter” floor and then choose a counter that is “louder” which you love. You might have more options in countertop materials.
