The room doesn't say "Caribbean" to me, but it does say "Wow"! You did a great transformation with the crown molding, wainscoting, and new color. I think a matching slipper chair would look good since it would only be matching a tiny pillow and not the whole bedspread. I would reconsider doing picture frames in white. That would give the feel of being too matchy-matchy and take the focus away from your beautiful new trim. I would go with darker wood frames. I don't know what you are doing about window treatments yet but I think a couple touches of cream or ivory in the room would soften the contrast between the blue and white. Maybe sneak one of the cream pillows back onto the bed? Use a cream pillow on the slipper chair? Do the picture frames in cream instead of white if you don't like wood frames?

A great match for the wood wall you wish to keep is by a Norwegian company called Jotun. The colour is Lady 11173 Humble Yellow. I saw your bed frame and wood wall and thought of Scandinavian type decor for this bedroom. You would have to get a colour match of course. This being said, I would change the ceiling fan/light and go with something that has broader propellers made of wood with a nice light sconce attached to it. Keep the feeling of open and airy. You may once walls are painted the colour of your choosing, consider painting the baseboards so that the wood wall becomes a feature/focal point in the space! I see a sheep skin rug, leather, mirror(s) and green plants in this space. Perhaps even a pair of sheer white curtains or opaque cream curtains for the window(s).

Can't imagine that looking good and fear anything dark will make the room look smaller (one of the bedrooms is a dark blue). The carpet is one the whitest we could find, unlike the cream it is now and the skirting boards have just been painted fresh white. The closet doors are pretty white, but the door and all the door frames are a cream/yellowed white rather than beige. Just bad photo and lighting. As a writer who has trouble focusing, I'd really like my own desk space. Can't focus work on the bed.

I usually satrt with the bedding. I think what you have is a bit blah. I think you need some color. I like a really nicely made bed with a couple of accent pillows not a ton. I like king size regular pillows on a queen bed I think your lights and the bed do not really go together . Choose bedding then accent pillows .Remove the fan and that fan light get a nice light fixture that works with your style . Then if you need a fan get aone that can sit on the floor and be put away in the winter. Remove that thing above the bed and thake the mirror off of the dresser. Replace that mirror with a nice piece of art . I like coverlets for bedding and then if you need a duvet do it like the picture here i This pic is just how to make the bed but the next pic is a duvet if you really love them then a couple of nice silver satin pillows and some soft blue linen drapes really full like 3x fullness for sure. I like the lamps in the pic with the duvet for sure thay are a better height and style .Take all the clutter off the night tables and pretty much make it look like a high end hotel room but with better art
